“No, I did not hear Barack Obama’s speech because I was not watching the Democratic Convention,” I said to the third person of the morning who asked me that question.
What in the world did he say that was so important? I decided to read the much-hailed speech of the U.S. Senate candidate from Illinois to find out what all the hype is about. If Jack Ryan hadn’t been so freaky, no one would even know who Barack Obama was.
After reading some background on Obama’s “American story” as the son of an interracial couple, a fatherless childhood, his implication that “Bush lied” and his praise of John Kerry, I don’t get it. USAToday gushes:
Barack Obama, the U.S. Senate candidate from Illinois, spoke of how “my story is part of the larger American story” and how his parents gave him a first name that means ” ‘blessed,’ believing that in a tolerant America your name is no barrier to success….”
Obama drew roars of approval from the convention floor, declaring that people don’t expect government to solve all their problems but sometimes do need help: “They sense, deep in their bones, that with just a change in priorities we can make sure that every child in America has a decent shot at life and that the doors of opportunity remain open to all.”
So what’s new?
We all want our kids to have a decent shot in life. The question is who is responsible for giving it to them? As I continued reading the speech, I found myself agreeing with some of it. Sounding as though he were reading a speech written by a conservative, Obama said:
The people I meet in small towns and big cities, in diners and office parks, they don’t expect government to solve all their problems. They know they have to work hard to get ahead and they want to. Go into the collar counties around Chicago, and people will tell you they don’t want their tax money wasted by a welfare agency or the Pentagon.
Go into any inner city neighborhood, and folks will tell you that government alone can’t teach kids to learn. They know that parents have to parent, that children can’t achieve unless we raise their expectations and turn off the television sets and eradicate the slander that says a black youth with a book is acting white. No, people don’t expect government to solve all their problems.
Can you hear a “but…” coming? The “but” is that we sometimes need help. That’s also true, but again, who is responsible for helping? Obama has the answer! With keen insight and a fresh approach, he says:
Our party has chosen a man to lead us who embodies the best this country has to offer. That man is John Kerry….John Kerry believes in an America where hard work is rewarded. So instead of offering tax breaks to companies shipping jobs overseas, he’ll offer them to companies creating jobs here at home. John Kerry believes in an America where all Americans can afford the same health coverage our politicians in Washington have for themselves.
*Yawn*
John Kerry, the same guy who pits one class and race against another and runs his whole campaign on “tax cuts for the rich” and “corporate greed” wants to give companies a tax break? That’s new. At the same time, he wants to adopt a socialist medicine scheme, so that no matter what kind of job we have or how much money we make, or whether we even have a job, we get paid-for-by-someone-else health care. That’s old. What else did Obama speechify about?
John Kerry believes in energy independence, so we aren’t held hostage to the profits of oil companies or the sabotage of foreign oil fields. John Kerry believes in the constitutional freedoms that have made our country the envy of the world, and he will never sacrifice our basic liberties nor use faith as a wedge to divide us. And John Kerry believes that in a dangerous world, war must be an option, but it should never be the first option.
Kerry the tax-and-spend elitist believes in hard work? OK, I have to agree. Kerry does believe in hard work. Yours. It’s called redistribution of wealth.
Kerry believes in constitutional freedoms, too? The Second Amendment? The Fourteenth? He believes that the Constitution permits race discrimination, which it forbids, and that it confers a right of privacy on women to kill their babies, which it does not. I wish Obama had been more specific as to which “freedoms” his boss…er…his friend Kerry supports. Let’s see if he’ll enlighten us:
Well, I say to them tonight, there’s not a liberal America and a conservative America-there’s the United States of America.
There’s not a black America and white America and Latino America and Asian America; there’s the United States of America. The pundits like to slice-and-dice our country into Red States and Blue States; Red States for Republicans, Blue States for Democrats. But I’ve got news for them, too. We worship an awesome God in the Blue States, and we don’t like federal agents poking around our libraries in the Red States. We coach Little League in the Blue States and have gay friends in the Red States.
Nope, I guess he won’t. While I share in Obama’s lament about diviseness among us, it’s inevitable. There are Christ followers and pagans; there are those who believe it’s still 1963, Birmingham, Alabama-style, and others who know they can go wherever they want to go and do whatever they want to do if they work hard enough. And on and on.
Our beliefs divide us, and that’s the way it should be. I have nothing in common with those who hate God, and they have nothing in common with me, who loves God.
My conclusion won’t surprise you. Obama is a liberal who doesn’t want to be called a liberal, just like all liberals. There’s nothing new here to see, people. Relative youth and freshness don’t change the fact that socialism and racial divisiveness by any other names are still socialism and racial divisiveness. I predict the Democrats will use the “articulate” Barack Obama for all he’s worth, then push him to the back of the room as they did with Rep. Harold Ford, Jr.
While Obama’s “riding the wave” to political office, I wish him well.

>I found myself agreeing with some of it. Sounding as though he were reading a speech written for a conservative
I thought the same thing. Why is this man saying this and still in the Democratic party? He reminded me more of Condi Rice than Al Sharton or Jesse Jackson.
I also agree that he is the current Harold Ford for the Democrats. Now if someone “unliberal” were to call him a “Democratic Convention N….” wouldn’t the liberals be all up in arms asking for their head?
Even though it was just a speculation I guess I need to go into hiding…
I thought the same thing. Why is this man saying this and still in the Democratic party? He reminded me more of Condi Rice than Al Sharton or Jesse Jackson
Because not all Democrats are left wing zealots. Just as not all Republicans are right wing fundamentalists. I see a lot of pidgeonholing going on from all sides and no ones’ “Us vs. Them” attitude is more acceptable than anyone elses.
Obama said: nor use faith as a wedge to divide us.
Obama said: We worship an awesome God in the Blue States
So, if Obama mentions faith, it’s okay. That’s not using it as a wedge to divide our nation. BUT, if GW talks about his personal beliefs, it is a wedge to divide us? Flip-flop, Flip-flop Personally, I believe that there are very few people who don’t have some faith/religion/belief in God in this country, and if they don’t like hearing about God, don’t listen. It doesn’t mean that Bush has to quit talking about his beliefs or that faith is dividing this country.
Good observation, Kiki.
You know I didn’t watch any of the convention either. But I saw some of the ’spot-light’ the media was paying to Obama. Gushing all over the brother. I thought to my self, ‘to the media, this must be a great moment. An young, articulate, good looking African-American. Wow, they’ve found their new black voice.’
He wasn’t all that. Another fast talking lawyer?
Hey I know 2004 – the year of the Lawyer.
To tell you the truth, after I saw his wife talking to a reported (his wife towered over the reporter), all I could think was ‘D_ _ _, that brother must be tall!
But then again, I’m just a conservative . . . out of touch with myself.
You know what?!? Maybe the reason why I’m conservative IS because (as is charged) conservatives are out of touch with the AVERAGE American. Baby, I’ am NOT average! Hence, well, you know.
That’s all I have to say about that (right now).
‘Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend. oppose any foe to ensure the survival and success of liberty’ – John F. Kennedy -
Hmmmmmm
kiki, i think you misunderstood, Obama’s remarks. he was not state his personal beliefs in the passage you cited, but he was speaking to those whose intent is to be divisive. I am not that that amounts to a “flip-flop”.
I live in Illinois. Barack Obama even attends my good friend’s church. I assure you, he is a liberal! Leftist even. He supports universal health care, affirmative action, opposes school vouchers, was an early critic of the Iraq war, opposes. Harold Ford is a genuine moderate Democrat, Barack Obama ain’t.
That said, Obama gave a great speech last night. The delivery is what made it come together. What makes him different from most liberals/leftists is that he doesn’t seem to be a victimologist, and he’s upbeat. I liked the reference to Bill Cosby last night too. Stuff like this has helped him round up a sizeable lead in the polls (way before Jack Ryan even exited the race). He’s practically a rock star in Illinois, and folks – and folks of all backgrounds – are way more excited about his candidacy than Sen. Kerry. Even before Ryan dropped out, Obama was polling well even in suburban areas where the GOP typically reigns.
I’ve heard good things about this man. Something I hadn’t seen before was that his father abandoned him and his mother. Is that the case?
Doesn’t this solidify what Bill Cosby says?
Wolf in sheep’s clothing; we aint fooled. Uh, don’t liberal ideals always SOUND good – sometimes more idiotic and/or deceptive than others?? I wanna see his handling of specific policies via his recorded VOTE, though I hope that day never comes.
And while I hope he goes down in flames in the election, I can’t say that he strikes any fear. If he wins he’ll be just another liberal senator like Moseley-Braun, one voice.
Introduce an unbalanced liberal bill in disguise, it still won’t go anyhere…….democrats have already set the tone: 40 senators can stop anything. So there!! And not like we expect anything but a liberal from that region, anyway, though we’d welcome one of our own.
So, as long O-BAMA don’t start getting to chummy with O-SAMA……….I’m good. Other’n that, he appears to be talkin loud & sayin nuthin.
At least they’re saying he’s “well spoken”, err, sounds white. Yippee!! We’re both 42 and sound like white boys!!!
Thank God that’s all I have in common with him.
Just found your site. I’m a registered Democrat, born and raised that way, yet neither party speaks to all the issues that make up my experiences and love for this country and all I envision it to be. I’m quite sure that I neither want to be treated as a child (Democrat), nor a surge to society (Republican), and you KNOW we have fanatics on both sides of the aisle. I’ll keep reading your blog with interest and a very open mind.
P.S. Barack Obama’s speech resonates with a LOT of African-American Democrats (that includes me). You don’t have to be a Republican to be conservative.
You don’t have to be a Republican to be conservative.
If I could change your mind about that, I would, because the fact is there is no room for conservatives in the democratic party. Zell Miller is conservative, Joe Lieberman has some conservative tendencies. Miller is a pariah in the party, and Lieberman couldn’t get enough votes for 4th place in the primaries.
I read a (very long) article in the NY Times chronicling the takeover of the democratic party by the far left – George Soros, et al. And this is from a lefty paper, mind you. The point is that the party’s not going to get more conservative – it’s going to go further left.
The home for true conservatives is the Repub party, in all its imperfections, although ideally, it would be the Constitution party. We have to go with what’s the best option.
Read the planks for both parties, and see which one best matches your views. I’ll bet you’ll be suprised.
TV (Harry)
I wonder what Obama meant when he said “we worship *an* awesome God.” The word “an” can mean anything, from himself to the “God-Force Within Us” to Allah. It’s like when Paul went to Athens and saw the shrine that read: “To an Unknown God.” If he’d said *The* Awesome God, that would have been different.
So he just couldn’t admit that liberals would worship I AM.
Shayne
This one’s just a smokescreen. You can’t annoint a guy a “rising star” if he hasn’t accomplished anything…and this guy hasn’t even been elected yet. He’s the same as John Edwards…WHAT RECORD???? He’s right that people don’t need government to solve their problems, but he still represents the party that DEMANDS that government solves problems. The whitey libs love him because he’s black and he “talks good.” He’ll get put back in the pile after they’ve used him up. The Republican Party is the only place African Americans can truly have their voice heard. That’s why the brilliant ones are conservative!!!
I think the excitement over Obama has to do with his presentation skills. He looks good, and he presents himself very well, and he has a compelling family story to relate.
I sold autos for 7 years. The poor presentation of politicians on the stump has always puzzled me. I’ve wondered if they are stiffened into cardboard by some mysterious teleprompter disease. When a Barak comes along, who can present himself in a professional and compelling fashion, the nation is awed. It’s amazing to me.
Even Bill Clinton was stiff in his early days, though he gives masterfull presentations now. I still remember Clinton in his early days, having praise heaped on him for “charisma,” when his charisma on the podium wouldn’t have moved the average hunk of steel off of the lot.
But Obama is good from the get-go. He projects personal likeability. That can be faked by the very, very slick- but I suspect Obama is likeable- the type person you would enjoy sharing a lunch with. Beyond the excellent presentation, however, his speech was Democratic boilerplate- replete with blatant lies, mischaracterizations, and thoughtless platitudes.
Good observation Shayne. I AM isn’t just any awesome God.
I watched his speechifing yesterday and thought to myself, he bears watching because he sounds like a moderate democrat, but then he had to throw in the implication that Bush lied.
I also noted the “catch phrases” that would have had the media screaming bloody murder, yet when Obama said it, they only roared their approval.
My question then became; to what extent was his speech tailored to the party theme and how much is his heart & soul. Well Molotov answered that for me.
That said, could we stand a smooth operator or a foaming-at-the-mouth-liberal? Give me the one showing his true colors.
Chris– I tried to edit your comment to include the .com URL, but it’s not working.
“The Scriptures say,’Eye has not seen, ear has not heard, neither has it entered the mind of man what we can build’”.
Bill Clinton, August 1992 nomination acceptance speech.
That having been remembered, (wait a minute–IS that what the Scriptures say???), surfing between the convention and Fox Sports Midwest (Stl Cardinals!!), I caught a bit of Obama’s speech, when the camera panned over to where Hillary! was sitting (she was standing and applauding), and I saw a look in her eyes. A predatory, scheming look. I seemed to have a sense of her thinking, “he would look really good with me in ‘08″.
Given that Mr. Obama is a rising star from out of nowhere, very photogenic, has a really good delivery style, and generates lots of applause, I wonder…
Jim
Another Jesse Jackson wannabe?
Will this secure the “Black” vote for the Dems?
BTW I loved the term Miss Barber, “Speachify”.Love it!
I live in Illinois – and nobody has ever heard of this guy until now. The only thing he is noteworthy for is for being the ONLY vote against a measure that would have stopped all early releases of sex offenders.
The only vote against it.
That’s pretty stunning.
Anyway, the “Obama Truth Squad” is here—> http://www.obamatruthsquad.com/
Perhaps it’s because I live in the Chicago area, but I’ve heard Obama since about 1999 when he first ran for the state Senate. If you live downstate, you may not have heard of him until last year / this year. My understanding is that he’s best known for a state bill requiring videotaped sessions for interrogations in death penalty cases. I hadn’t heard of the sex offender vote, so I gotta check that one out.
In 2002, he got a black community smackdown when he challenged Bobby Rush (former Black Panther) for his Congressional seat. Even earlier this year, some black folks grumbled about whether he was “black” enough to back because of his background and his “buppiedom.” However, he eventually won folks over – especially after Blair Hull (white) imploded right before the Dem primary due to that domestic violence spat with his ex-wife (it helps that Obama is a member of one of the largest, most affluent, and political black churches in Chicago).
When will the Illinois GOP get its act together and find a replacement for Jack Ryan? It’s been about five weeks now.
well I had not heard of Sen. Obama being involved in the videotaping of sessions for interrogations in death penalty cases. That is to his credit, then, to be sure.
I just feel I am looking at a media-generated, party-boss-trumped up articulate darling. And it isn’t the darling I mind so much as it makes me feel manipulated. If the Dems ran Danny Davis or Jesse White I would at least feel I understand the progression. Even if I disagree with their politics, their running would make sense because of their history and the fact that they’ve been in the arena.
And I honestly don’t know what the devil the Reps are doing. The article I wrote on it sort of sat there… http://boileryard.blogspot.com/2004/07/illinois-republicans-its-power-stupid.html
But having read your blog, molotov, I’d vote for you in a minute.
duh… that should read “involved in the LEGISLATION for…” the videotaping of sessions for interrogations.
sorry…
At least they’re saying he’s “well spoken”, err, sounds white. Yippee!! We’re both 42 and sound like white boys!!!
The thing is, beau, he doesn’t sound “white.”
Thank you, JJ. Your post has given me an opportunity to share the following article on the Michael Moore meltdown, where he mentions that the Republican party is out of touch with most Americans, who are really liberal and progressive:
http://www.nationalreview.com/york/york200407280119.asp
*Breathes into the paper bag while counting to 10 and tries to remain calm after reading about the Big, fat, stupid, white man in the article.*
Beau, did you forget to put the laughing gas in the bag? I’m just not feeling calm yet. :-/
Beau, did you forget to put the
“energy independence, so we aren’t held hostage to the profits of oil companies”
Is he proposing nationalizing the oil industry? The last time I studied capitalism, most private companies strive to make profits.
“John Kerry believes in an America where hard work is rewarded”
How would he know…..he’s never really worked.
“he’ll offer them to companies creating jobs here at home.”
But apparently not to his wife’s Heinz pickle factories who make most of their products overseas.
So nobody saw or read the speech, but everybody is qualified to comment. Shame on you all. Barack is a guy who spends a weekday afternoon in a grocery store to hear from the people. Maybe the people actually are “liberal.” Get in touch, guys.
Also, I happen to think Jack Ryan got a raw deal; those divorce allegations are far from substantial. But, hey, God’s Own Party makes such a big deal about sex (as opposed to ALL sin) that I think it might just possibly be payback: Live by the sword, die by the sword. Some of us rather would live by grace.
Heinz pickles!? I thought Heinz made ketchup? Is that made overseas as well?
Shayne
yo bluehawk… it isn’t that Republicans are squeamish about sex, its that the Democrats have this big ol double-standard about it;
With their little squeezez here and there, Bill Clinton and Jesse Jackson are just “oh well boys will be boys,” but George Bush improves the civil rights of women in Iraq and Afghanistan and he’s the Great Oppressor.
Go figure.
You know, Kerry saying he’s going to give tax breaks to companies that keep jobs onshore.
Hmmmmmmmmmmm.
Hold up!! Isn’t this the same dude that was saying that the (Bush) tax breaks benefited corporate America while the little people paid more than their fair share?
WAIT a minute – is this the same party that incessantly accused the Bush Tax Breaks/Cuts as a way to make wealthy Americans wealthier?
FOUL, FOUL, FOUL {THUMP! – JJ falls out of his chair – hits his head.) OUCH! you know its pruddy painful getting in the way of a Dem when he’s Flip-Floppin!
Peace,
JJ
I dunno, Irami….I heard his voice for the 1st time with the TV in the background. The FIRST thing that popped into my head when I saw him: Sounds white. Yup, Osama’s a white boy. Osama, obama, same difference.
Don’t you get it?? Even us blacks think it when we hear each other,!! It’s a good thing to “act white” or “sound white” because it implies it’s done properly – my 2 specialties & badges of honor, I might add, got good grades & spoke proper english.
Why, Irami, would you deny those two things to anyone, especially poor blacks talkin bout “How you is?” ??
Gotta tell ya, I absolutely love hearing other blacks that speak “proper”, ’cause we can all speak ebonics if we want to!! We just know better; it’s just broken, foul, dumb folks english…..that needs to be left out of public consumption. That’s my dirty laundry that white’s will never hear from me, poor english.
And considering I am the whitest of white boys when I open my mouth, verified for decades by the “real”, authentic blacks? Osama’s a white boy, ’cause he sure don’t sound like a brother; not a lick. I guess that makes me racist.
*****
And some help over with Kiki, please!!?? Gotta keep that lady enterained!!
Here’s an interesting website (Hat-tip to LittleGreenFootballs.com) regarding Mr. Obama.
http://www.obamatruthsquad.com/
From what I’ve read, Obama owes his current political office to being able to get the white vote, not the Black vote.
Jim,
You might be on to something about the gleam in cHillary’s eye.
Peggy Noonan, in writing today’s OpinionJournal article validates Jerry’s comment: “At one point the C-Span cameras went to an unhappy looking Jesse Jackson in the stands. He looked like he was thinking, “I don’t remember passing a torch.” But it was passed.”
Between being the “wife” of the 1st “black” president (BPOTUS?), and marrying up with a rising BlackStar, who needs Jesse’s posse or Al to capture the black vote?
Jesse is loooooong past his prime. The day he went on TV and defended a bunch of high school (or junior high) thugs who got into a brawl at a school game, I knew he was over. The boys were expelled, as they should have been, and Jesse cried…racism. Appalling.
nice job tearing down a black man on the rise. [/disappointment]
how can people here say that nobody had heard of obama until ryan screwed up? anyone who follows politics knew he had a big lead over ryan before the sex stuff came to light. this was then and is now a big story because obama stands to become the ONLY black man or woman in the senate and only 1 of 4 minority members (hawaii has 2, if that counts since they are in the majority in their state).
i get the sense that a lot of people replying to you are not following the news very well because of the ignorance displayed in this comment section. i suggest that people visit http://news.google.com where you can read current events from over 4,000 sources. this way, you can stick to more conservative sources if that’s your preference, but at least you are presented with a more complete story…whether you choose to take advantage of that resource is your choice. close mind / open mind…good luck making that decision.
well sean… i’m still trying to figure out what his being black has to do with anything. i follow the news. he hasn’t been in it much.
what?
Sean, not sure we’re trying to bring a brother whose rising – down (if he’s rising, a few blogger aren’t going to keep him down – unless they enough of them vote in his district).
I hope the brother finds a limitless horizon.
With that said, I read lots of news feeds, but like it or not, it wasn’t until the Ryan thing that I heard about this fellow. He wasn’t national news until then. Up to that point he was a democrat challenging a republican in some local press(as I see it), never heard anything about him on News I catch.
Best of luck to the brother.
One more thing. Thank you for reminding me of my display of ignorance. For it was Thoreau who said:
“How can we remember our ignorance, which our growth requires, when we are using our knowledge all of the time?”
Peace,
JJ
I echo John’s sentiments, adding that I’m beholden to no man, not even George Bush. It’s a man’s character and ideology that interests me, not his skin color or his “rise.”
Obama was unknown nationally until Ryan dropped out. Let me put it this way: I’d never heard of him.
Did anyone see this, from the Washington Times? Not that I’d done any research, but it appears that Mr. O-BAMA is not quite as moderate as he sounds…….just as I thought:
(You guys are gonna luvv that little snippett about “Planned Parentood”.)
In fact, so enamored have many in the media been over this prodigy that many conveniently have overlooked the rather unsurprising fact that Mr. Obama is just another liberal. Consider the following:
• In October 2002, Mr. Obama said that the buildup to the war against Saddam Hussein was just a political diversion concocted by Bush political adviser Karl Rove. Mr. Obama said that a “rigorous, multilateral inspections regime” would have been sufficient to contain Saddam Hussein.
• Asked if he would support Howard Dean as the Democratic presidential candidate, Mr. Obama replied, “Absolutely.”
• Mr. Obama has been endorsed by the anti-defense organization Council for a Livable World, which supports cuts in defense spending and opposes missile defense.
• Mr. Obama supports gun-control laws across the board. As an official at the Illinois State Riflle Association told us, “Mr. Obama is about as liberal as you can get” on the question of gun ownership.
• Mr. Obama opposed President Bush’s tax cuts and has said all of them should be repealed. Recently, however, he amended his position and now says that those tax cuts that benefit the middle class should be retained.
• Mr. Obama supports affirmative action, opposes No Child Left Behind and school vouchers and has been endorsed by the Illinois Federation of Teachers.
• Mr. Obama has received a 100 percent rating from the Illinois Planned Parenthood Council.
• Mr. Obama is a critic of NAFTA and has said that the United States should “retool trade agreements to include protections for American workers and the global environment.”
As his star continues to rise, we hope Mr. Obama will become the politician he pretended to be in his speech Tuesday night. Old habits die hard, though.
(Another Julian Bond in the making!!!)
· Wonder if Obama’s attitude towards Iraq has changed now that some of his father’s countrymen have been kidnapped for money to continue the “insurgency”
· Wonder if he knows he’s supporting 100%, Margaret Sanger’s black genocide program to control the black population.
Some rising star indeed. Thanks Beau.
You got it, Andy…..they always make is sound sooo good, don’t they? And all the while? Lie-lie-lie-lie-lie!!!
Looks like Osama’s cousin from Illinois is more like Teresa Heinz-Kerry than we knew, from “african” lineage to anti-U.S. liberal political leanings.
Despite all the hoopla, CLEARLY he’s your basic, run-of-the-mill, wolf in sheep’s clothing…..or shall I say “liberal sheperd’s clothing” – and lookin for black sheep. “Baaah! Baaah! Please lead me, please lead me!!” I think I’m gonna be sick.
ROFLOL. You’re a poet and you know it
I heard his speech – it was very dynamic and moderate. He was very passionate and smooth. He spoke with earnest caring and devotion. Then I went to his site and found that he espouses the exact same views every other liberal leftest stands by – he just toned it WAY down to appeal to the undecided voters as did everyone at the DNC (for the most part). If he were conservative – he’d have my note in a second. I’m afraid he’s just another polished up liberal trying to make his party shine – alas it is a shame – such promise…
There’s always one. If you can’t deal with me, stay off my blog – LB
I have read many of your comments on this site and the thing that strikes me as odd, is the they vs. us mentality. How can we have any open dialouge if we contiune the name calling liberal, conservative, they are just titles let’s give the man a chance before everyone’s ready to throw him out on the streets I don’t know about anyone else on this site but I take every issue as it comes and try my best to be objective and non-dogmatic I would agree the left as taken over the dem. party but the rep. have also been taken over. Ms. Barber also made a comment that I find just plain crazy when see basiclly said liberal’s hate God, come on Ms. Barber.
