Fringe does a beautiful job showcasing this week’s submissions to the Carnival of the Vanities.
Christian Carnival is up at Parablemania. I wish I had the time to comment on a few of these submissions. I may do so sometime tomorrow, so stay tuned.

Have always liked that Kansas album cover of John Brown. It’s a mural in the Kansas Capitol Bldg. My great-great grandfather briefly travelled with Brown when he was in Kansas. Thank God he didn’t stay with him when he left Kansas, else he might not have lived to marry my great-great grandmother and…well, I wouldn’t be here today.
My great-grandfather (at age 80) had a part-time job giving tours in the Capitol bldg. and the highlight was always the stories he recounted about his father and John Brown that he heard as a child.
