I just watched the Barbara Wawa special last night on which she recapped her trazillion famous interviews. When I heard McCaulkin talk about his father I was disgusted as I have been many times by irresponsible parenting and child exploitation.

Of course it left me wondering what he was up to these days and how he’s getting along despite being screwed up by his parents.

My curiousity was satisfied in an extremely timely manner, but not quite in accordance with my hopes…

Why is it you can always tell the Democrats by their picture?

What perplexes me is that the Culkin bust took place only a couple of miles from me, in an area where the speed limit (60 mph; they were doing 70) is more honored in the breach. One of the charges was for an improper lane change; I have to believe that it was more like “impossible” than “improper”.

Of course, this means that one shouldn’t drive unfamiliar roads while zonked. Duh. :)

I’ve always thought it would be strange to be an actor. I mean, you basically make a living off of playing pretend and dress-up. When my kids play pretend, it’s very hard for them to transition into real-life world. I wonder how hard it would be if they were adults making millions and being revered for their views on everything from makeup to politics. I remember Harrison Ford being asked one time about his political views, and he basically said, “why are you asking me? I’m just an actor…”

We have a famous member of the local football team who lives in our neighborhood (our dog likes to do her business on his lawn, don’t ask me why, but we have alot of inside jokes about it), and he’s a very private person. My husband likes to talk to him about his truck, so they’re now buds. But I tell my kids that his job happens to take him on tv, but it’s still just a job. He’s a person just like everyone else, and no, your friends can’t hit him up for an autograph. I just never got the whole “famous” thing.

He just had a run of acting jobs recently. Thought he was doing better than this…

And I finally made the jump from commenting on Joe Carter’s blog…MWAHAHAHA Sorry, the evil cackle seems obligatory.

Where’s the bush twins mug shot?

Tracey Gold is a young mom who rolled her SUV after a family party. Her seven-year-old was injured. Her pitiful mug shot should serve as a reminder that even rich and famous people are still people.

It IS very sad. I hope the best for people, and hopefully he can pull through his problems.

As for the Gold family, it seems that little sister Missy Gold, child actress from the sitcom Benson, has done very well for herself.

Now known as Dr. Melissa (?) PhD., living in Maine
Graduate of Georgetown University
Won best young actress in a comedy series for Benson in 1984
Younger sister of Tracey Gold
