I just received an e-mail from Demond Hunter. He was serving our country in Iraq, and he’s just returned home! Some of my fellow TCB members and I are acquainted with him through blogging, and I know they will be as happy and relieved as I am. Some of you may remember this post. Please read it again.

I’ll update this post later today with more information.

Update: Demond will be blogging about the recent Iraq-had-no-WMDs report soon, and I will link to it. Check out Power Line’s post. More on the report from B4B.

  5. Not to reignite old fires, but, regarding the Duelfer report:

“Based on all the information we have today, I believe we were right to take action and America is safer today with Saddam Hussein in prison.”

This is the Administration’s new key talking point. But something about it is very strange. Even if it’s true that America is safer today with Saddam in prison, that doesn’t mean it was a good idea to put him there. Shouldn’t we be performing some kind of cost-benefit analysis? I mean, suppose it cost not 1,000, but 10,000, or 100,000, or one million American lives to put Saddam in prison. Would it still be worth it?

I think America would be safer with KIM Chong-il in prison. We would be safer with Fidel Castro in prison. For that matter, we’d be safer with the potential rapist or serial killer down the street in prison. But to justify putting them there, don’t we have to talk about the cost as well?

  12. Peter,
would you rather sacrifice 10K of our troops there or 10K civilians here along with the attendant collateral damage? Lok at the economic hit we took from 9/11 and only 3K died.

Would you rather sacrifice 1M of our troops there or 1M civilians here along with the attendant collateral damage? For scale, imagine if all of Detroit was taken out. How would that affect your quality of life in Iowa, New York, California or even in Crawford, TX?

  13. Dear La Shawn Barber et al,

My neighbors and friends when they hear from their son after hearing nothing from him get a phone call. He is US Air Force mechanic servicing airplanes. He is all over the world servicing our planes. This includes the mideast including Kuwait, etc. His dad said that if he is killed or wounded they hear quickly. In San Antonio they have several large air force bases and army burn hospital call Ft Sam Houston. It is easy to spot military even with no uniform. A lot of business people give them discount. They are very polite to the cashiers! One sergeant with Ft Sam Houston t-shirt is a medic instructor. We should all give our appreciation! Does George Washington parkway mean he is heading north to DC or south into Virginia?

The Democrats are pulling the draft card when the military does not want for it to return! They are pulling the race card and every card to win the Nov election. If military ballots are not allowed since they do not have postmark, this could be bad news.

On 06 October 2004, NBC nightly news claims black churches have Kerry-Edwards bookcovers on their hymnals. I have heard said such as house slave to describe Dr. Rice or Colin Powell. A very big mega church in Woodbridge, VA has a pastor that Star Parker writes concerning against gay marriage! I noticed Townhall.com and TCB in soldier’s post.

This time of year a drive up 270 into Maryland has Sugerloaf Mountain exit. It is free and not well known. You are rising upward when this outgrowth spirals upward. There are beautiful fall colors with very big country estates. Politics has gotten dirtier in the last few years. Conservative judges whether black, hispanic, or white cannot be confirmed.
Kerry is still anti-war protester who gave aid and comfort to the enemy!
