SCSIwuzzy, how do you read in my comments that I am against religion? My remarks were about bearing false witness, and name-calling of people one has never met. No religious person would do either. Religion comes from a Latin word meaning "to bond to" or to "adhere". It's not a label, it's a way of life. The Book of James says if one is not living one's religion, that religion is bankrupt. (Jesus said "ye shall know them by their fruits"). After all, what is faith w/o works?

1. Its what Bush didn’t say that disturbs me –
a. That Kerry thought so little of US intelligence that he missed ¾ of his Intelligence Committee meetings.
b. That the “Rush to War” entailed 17 UN Resolutions over 12 years. Whenever Hussein wanted to hide weapons, he did so, whenever he wanted to kick inspectors out he did so. The UN would then pass another resolution.
c. That the only man in the last 60 years who has actually USED WMD is Hussein.
d. That our “Traditional Allies” were to busy stuffing their pockets with bribed oil money to ever consider aiding us in Iraq.
e. That any stand on Kyoto would be superfluous, as the entire Senate (99 to 0 as I recall) voted against it.

2. Did anyone count the number of times Kerry said “Plan”?

3. No one should forget, amidst the flurry of political gamesmanship, that John Kerry is a traitor son-of-a-bitch with American blood on his hands.

Er, Kiki, I never wrote that The Saviour was wishy-washy,weak or effeminate. To be honest I've never called anyone "weak" or "wishy-washy" in my entire life. I was commenting on what Andy called Mrs. Heinz-Kerry. Jesus said he came w/ a sword, and that his followers could not put mother or father before him- doesn't sound weak.

" Born again Christians shouldn’t lie on camera- not about Iraq, budgets, or personal finance. Too easy to check up on"
I guess CINOs from Mass. get a pass on the lying part.

Bayne, you clearly don't like Bush, and bringing up his religion as you have, I wonder, do you have a thing against religion as well?

Andy,

Was the name you made up for Teresa just a label or based on her actions? She's a very hateful woman who has told a reporter to "shove it" and other things. So, if you consider that the Lord called the Pharisees, who were the very respected religious leaders of the day "hypocrites and vipers(snakes)" because of their behavior, would it be such a stretch to call a mean, angry woman a turd because it describes her?

Bijan, while you're welcome on my blog, I do expect you to practice what you preach. While I am a Christian, this is mostly a political blog, and you are a participant in the political discussion (and I assume you're a Christian). "Calling out" Christians on the board and quoting Scripture only when it suits you is not edifying to anyone.

By the way, to all, I really want to keep this thread focused on the debate. Let's do the other stuff off-line, if desired.

If Jesus returned (or was living in your day), few of you would be followers. Too biased. I can hear the comments now. "He hangs around with all those men" "He's close to John the Baptist, who doesn't bathe and eats figs", "he's healing on weekends", "I saw him with some tax collectors", "he's a Jew"
Don't (posters like Andy) be so pious or sanctimonious as to think you'd be open-minded.

The Boston Red Sox will win the World Series, and Boston and Massachusetts will celebrate for day on end.

Then in a karmic balancing act, Senator Kerry will lose.

La Shawn,
You beat me to the punch.

Now, to be unchristian by Mr. Bayne's standards:
"I can tell you how to be energy independent. Ride a horse!"
Can Teresa support John's weight?

That doesn't mean we roll over and play dead, Bijan. Don't you recall, again in Matthew that Jesus(since he seems to be the only person you'll recognize from scripture) fashioned a whip, and chased the money-changers out of the temple at the end of it? He doesn't sound all soft and fuzzy and wishy-washy to me. He got very angry and acted upon injustices and sins. He forgave people, but he never let them get away with their sin. And never forget, He will also have the last word when he will destroy this earth, and all who have not accepted Him as their Lord and Savior. Again, He is not the weak, effeminate man that some like to make him out to be. He is God. A loving, merciful, righteous, just, angry and jealous God. He is perfect. We are not.
