When you ain't got facts, make sure you fall back on the "media are all liars" story. Or fall back on to "Democrats get away." Can't you see spin when its right in front of your face? You have no facts, no position, nothing to support your beleifs on this issue. Your people are indicted, not ours. And the history of the last 20 years has shown that the vast majority of the cheating has been on your side. You cannot argue with the facts right in front of you. All I've asked is that you provide evidence. You have none. I call that losing the argument.

Rove's operatives have been calling reporters and editors and convincing them to run "democratic fraud" stories for weeks. Why? So he can have justification for sending 6300 lawyers to Cleveland Ohio minority precincts to challenge the bona fides of every voter--resulting in long delays at the polls which make those waiting in line turn away.

I think that's the crux of it. Reps gone bad get busted by the law. Dems gone bad get reverse spin by the MSM and a wink from Dem politicians.

Rob W: the reason most people ain't going to spend time debating this voter fraud issue is simple. The Dems and their terrorist arm the KKK -- and their stepchile, de union -- have decades upon decades of proven atrocities and abject incompetence in serving their "constituients".

As Steven has said, and I'll repeat; I categorically denounce any chicanery by the Reps. Now when will the Dems categorically denounce the misdeeds of their "over-exuberent" operatives?

You accuse Bush of refusing to apologize for his mistakes. The dems refuse to apologize for their crimes.

As for Sproul, the allegations are being investigated and when the verdict comes, I'm perfectly willing to let the chips fall wherever. On the other hand, when will the Dems toss out the clowns that continue to either by ineptitude or by sheer malice, continue to disenfranchise the voters.

Think of it. Forget about Rove, the real geniuses are Carville, Begala and friends who again and again subjourn truth & decency. If their internal polls show that Blacks are trending out of the party.

What better way to retain power by goofing up the election process so that Blacks don't get to vote, then claim intimidation and what not. Then spin it as a Black vote denied is a Dem vote lost. You have your VRWC and this is my VLWC. If I were a betting man, I'd say my odds would be stronger going with the VLWC as the sinister force maniplating politics.

And you keep citing the MSM!!! Is the MSM now paragon of objective truth? Bwwuahahaha. Bush in cahoots with Enron et al. What about the major scandals going on with the major newspapers and their LONG-TERM inflation of subscription rolls? Don't hear much and if any, on page H13, instead of front and above the fold. The numbers fixing by MSM's green eyeshade crew is no less serious than the fraud inflicted by Enron, Worldcom et al. Or are those false subscriptions automatically categorized under corporate cronyism by Bush?

Why do I get the feeling Eliot Spitzer won't be crusading against MSM'ers that lie on their numbers? Cause it is part of the VLWC support network.

3 Nov can't come soon enough. And I'm going to vote straight Rep. Not because they deserve it, but because the Dems have done nothing to deserve consideration for as long as they condone thuggery and intimidation and oppression by any means necessary.

As I have stated before, please call me when you get a sense of humor. Rush condemed these rogue soldiers many times. What he would not do is what many of you lefties did, try to paint these soldiers as the face of the real military.

We were all set to attack Fallujah when the above controversy erupted. The military asked Dan Rather to wait a few weeks to air his report, then we pulled out. Another victory for the terrorists, thanks to the liberal media.

That's funny, the illegal fraud of 2002's Senate race by dems on reservations was never prosecuted. Nor the lady in Mil. Wis. who was bribing homeless with cigs. Nor the thousands of illegal aliens who vote. Nor the thousands of people who vote absentee in their state and again at the polls in Florida. Nor were any dems prosecuted for messin' with our brave soldiers absentee ballots.

It is just plain incompetence I guess that in precients with large black populations, all controlled by dems, that the voters were not served properly. Who's messin' with whose votes?

Steven:

Abuse like that is no joking matter. He wasn't joking either, he was trying to minimize the events. They set us back far in Iraq.

Bush always trys to portray anyone who opposes his incompetent way of running the war as being against terrorist fanatics. Nothing could be further from the truth. Bush needs to go because he doesn't fight terrorists hard enough. Posturing and will are not the same thing. Fallujah, anyone? Bush's own Marine general told him not to attack--he did anyway. After three days he decided to call it off, again against the advice of the Marine general in charge. He then handed the town over to the enemy. Put a Saddam general in charge and gave the local Iraqi forces new weapons. Within days the local Iraqis were using those guns to kill our boys. This is weakness, pure and simple. Bush showed the terrorists in Fallujah whose boss--them. Kerry will pound those people to smithereens, don't you doubt it. Bush has lied again and again about Kerry's record and smeared his service because he knows that he is a failure as a war leader.

This Just came over the wire: Six Republican Officials Indicted in South Dakota for Ballot Fraud:

Six face charges in absentee ballot probe
By Carson Walker Associated Press Writer

SIOUX FALLS -- Six people face charges in connection with absentee ballot applications that were filled out on some South Dakota college campuses, Attorney General Larry Long and other officials said Friday.

They were identified as Joseph Alick, 28; Nathan Mertz, 20; Todd Schlekeway, 27; Rachel Hoff, 22; and Eric Fahrendorf, 24.

Fahrendorf had been listed as a Republican Party employee.

Those five face charges in Minnehaha County. Jennifer Giannonatti faces a similar accusation in Pennington County, authorities said.

All had resigned earlier from a GOP get-out-the-vote effort after questions arose as to whether some absentee ballot requests were signed by the student in the presence of the notary public whose seal was affixed to the request.

Larry Russell, who headed the Republican Victory operation, resigned earlier this month. Russell had sought the party's nomination for a special U.S. House election in June and most recently directed the GOP's get-out-the-vote program.

Russell was replaced by Herb Jones, manager of U.S. Senate candidate John Thune's 2002 Senate bid.

Several students on various campuses have questioned the absentee ballot application process, saying young men secured their applications, and no women witnessed their signatures, yet the notarization of the documents was signed by a woman.

I see all of the stories about fraud on both sides, but I see a key difference. What is happening to the Democrats and their allies is simple. They are paying for signatures, generally the going rate is 1 signature for a dollar. But the people generally hired for this sort of work are not making a lot of money and some of them try to get more money by making up signatures and addresses and the like. They get the dollar and then fade away. When voter registration cards are sent out by the election boards, they get returned "no such address." The end result is that Democratic organizations are defrauded out of money and don't register anyone else. But people like Drudge spin it as "voter fraud"There are not major numbers of people voting twice or anything like that. I think you'd be very hard pressed to find documented examples of same person voting twice in that way.

On the other hand, the Sproul allegations are worse. A get-out the vote operation paid for by the Republican National Committee and run by the former Chairman of the Arizona Republican Party, is accused in multiple states of systematically destroying the registration documents of the other party.

Small potatoes v. big bad fraud.

"When fools like Rush Limbaugh defend atrocities like Abu Ghraib by remarking that the soldiers there “needed to blow off some steam,” I know something is deeply wrong with the Republican party."

When you get a sense of humor, call me. The fact that the abuse was a scandal restores my faith in America.

"When I see that our country has embarked on a reckless foreign policy which finds us trying to impose our world view on a country that didn’t ask us to do it, I know something is deeply wrong with the Republican party."

When we open our first colonial office, give me a call.

"When I see that the party of Lincoln has lost its way on issues of racial justice, I know there is something deeply wrong with the Republican party."

When the dems decide that the black man is his equal, not some charity case to be treated like a child, give me a call.

As for corporations, maybe someday the left will feel the the same hatred for Islamic-facism and they do for McDonalds and Toy R' Us.

I am not one of those Republicans who will go run and hide under the bed, so don't think that you are alone in arguring hard.

Many others on this blog and in other media have documented the fraud and intimadation tactics of the dems, there is no need for me to duplicate their work. I am aware of who's doing what. I have already condemed any past or present misdeeds of the GOP'ers, but it is evident that your side will do anything to win.

I just hope that the dead have a low turnout this year!

The other day, I googled "voter fraud" & looked at the first 40 or so hits. I set aside all the hits that were not news stories. Of the news stories, fraud stories that benefited Democrats *easily* outnumber those that benefited Republicans.

That's without even tossing out duplicate stories.
A lot of the R stories were duplicates, though, so if I went back & tossed out duplicates, I'd end up with even greater disparity.

I have voted for Democrats my whole life, but I may not do so again.

Mr. Kelso: Democrats are corrupt to the core? Sir, I am a Democrat. Are you saying I am corrupt? You know nothing of me other than I argue hard.

Its best if we start looking at each other as human beings. I have presented evidence of serious accusations of voter fraud on the part of the Republicans, yet I do not think that Republicans on the whole are corrupt. Ill-informed perhaps, but I will never go after anyone's bona fides without both evidence and good reason to do so. I think these are the basic duties we owe one another as human beings--to judge each person we interact with on their own merits and not fall victim to a culture of blind hate.

I beleive that the traditional Republican values of public thrift, individual autonomy and individual responsibility offer much to America and its political discourse. But I also believe that your party has strayed far from those ideals during the last 14 years. When fools like Rush Limbaugh defend atrocities like Abu Ghraib by remarking that the soldiers there "needed to blow off some steam," I know something is deeply wrong with the Republican party. When I see that our country has embarked on a reckless foreign policy which finds us trying to impose our world view on a country that didn't ask us to do it, I know something is deeply wrong with the Republican party. When I see that the party of Lincoln has lost its way on issues of racial justice, I know there is something deeply wrong with the Republican party. When I see the country's coffers empty and huge coporate welfare checks proping up corporations which choose not to compete in the time-honored free marketplace, I know there is something wrong with the Republican party. I hope that you, too will someday realize this and bring your party back to its senses.

LawWife - Amen to that! I hope the election is decisive, I am tired of the hate.

Rob W - I am the last person to defend the Republican party as perfect, but facts are facts. Every hundred years or so, the democrat party tries to tear this country apart. Ain't you guys a little early?

Steven, you made me laugh. :o) I also condemn all illegal actions taken by anyone anywhere. That said, I am extremely burnt out over this election. Can someone wake me next year? Hopefully, the Liberalcrats will have completed all their lawsuits by the time I wake.
