The has just passed (it's back to school today, unfortunately...) - but I guess I can still say:
Happy Thanksgiving!

(My latest blog entry links to my thoughts from the past two years on this occasion... I wish I had more time right about now - and more energy!)

Anyway, Miss Barber: (I got the salutation right this time!...) I hope that you and yours had a great Thanksgiving holiday, and that you have a great week. Please keep up the good work with your writing and blogging. (I did update my blogroll link, as you requested in the e-mail.) Thanks!

I LOVE the opening of your blog today!!! So true!! I am not "ready" to leave this world because I still have children to raise, yet I am ready, for I too know that on the other side of this life, is eternal life with my Lord, Jesus Christ!!!

Happy belated Thanksgiving, La Shawn. I'm thankful for all that God has blessed me with, including family, friends, health, work, transportation, the recent election's results, and (definitely not least of all) the wonderful woman God has brought into my life! :)

I am so very thankful that I was born of God fearing Christian parents who never wavered in their love, devotion and service to Him. God chose to grant me this greatest of blessings and to Him I give all honor and praise.

God - Family - Country. Thank you Lord for the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ my Saviour!

And God bless you, LaShawn for spreading the gospel.
You are a beautiful human being.

My son and his wife were killed in an automobile accident in May. Their 18 month old son, Alexander, survived. I'm grateful for the Lord and his kindness in sparing our grandson. I'm grateful for a young couple who loved the Lord and showed it in their actions toward each other and others. I'm grateful for a kind and loving Heavenly Father who welcomed this young couple home into the arms of His perfect love. I'm thankful that someday (sooner or later -- it matters not) I will be with my son and his wife. I'm thankful for a wife of some thirty plus years and other good sons and a daughter. This Thanksgiving will be bitter-sweet, but oh how bitter it would be without the Lord.

It isn't a simple matter to enumerate all the things I'm thankful for today. I'm glad to be living in the only country in the world that has, or has ever had, anything approaching our Bill of Rights.

I'm thankful that we still produce men and women willing to sacrifice their time, and even their blood, to defend our country.

I'm thankful that I can share this day with four of my five children and their families (the fifth comes on Saturday).

And I'm thankful that I can turn to La Shawn's blog to brighten my day.

I am thankful for the men of D-Day, June 6, 1944 who saved the life of a little boy living in occupied Denmark and destined for the Hitler youth.

I am thankful for the father whose insight brought that little boy to America.

I am thankful for enemies who provide crystal clarity to issues which are otherwise often unclear and obscure.

I am thankful for men and women courageous enough to fight and defeat that enemy.

I am thankful for those with the ability, expertise, knowledge and wherewithal to provide those men and women with the tools necessary to complete that task.

I am thankful for God who taught me to be thankful.

I am thankful for a warm bed only seconds away.

I am thankful for a loving wife already sleeping in that bed.

God bless you La Shawn and the other wise posters here too many to name.

Happy Thanksgiving to all,

Hello La Shawn Barber.. :)
I am thankful for so many things that I must edit it down. I was diagnosed with a terminal cancer...during my recovery from a massive surgery my youngest son was diagnosed with schizorphrenia. With all of this I still feel I am blessed...to live in this great country...to know people of faith and character and courage (such as you)...I will see another Christmas. Btw...I leave my lights up all yr and often turn them when I'm in a good mood. In July my house looks like a little casino back in the woods...hee hee.
I am thankful for my beautiful wife of 32 yrs. I am thank ful for my friends who pointed me to God's path..which I confess has been a challenging but rewarding balancing act. And lastly...but still important. I am thankful for the rediscovery of cook and serve Butterscotch pudding which has allowed me to put on 8 lbs. That's right, La Shawn..."I" have a Butterscotch jones...hee hee. Have a great Thanksgiving LB. I am thankful for you. Love Ray..

I'm thankful for Jesus Christ and the sacrifice He made for all mankind.

I'm thankful for my family and friends...so much so, that when I really stop and think about them, I tend to sniffle and bawl rather unattracively.

I'm thankful for my health and the few talents God has given me...and the few that He has yet to reveal in me.

And I'm thankful for you and your blog, La Shawn. You inspire and enrich me on a daily basis. I hope your Thanksgiving is truly wonderful.
