“Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, ‘Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.’
Then He who sat on the throne said, ‘Behold, I make all things new.’ And He said to me, ‘Write, for these words are true and faithful.’ And He said to me, ‘It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts. He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son. But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.’” — Revelation 21: 1-8

Update: From BlackMediaWatch:
“While most mainstream media outlets both big and small provided feature coverage of the recent tsunami that rocked southeast Asia resulting in the loss of over 60,000 people, many black media outlets treated this story as nothing more than an afterthought.”

Oh – and best wishes for a joyous and Christ-filled New Year. I will miss the comments section.
Thanks for the scripture reminder.
I wonder if the US will grant Temporary Protected Status to the Tsunami survivors who had their homes wiped out?
Of course, the term “temporary” is a misnomer, the survivors of hurricanes in Central America have been here 5 years now.
But if Hispanics can qualify for TPS, why not Asians also?
Operation Blessing International was the first to help I think
Is this armageddon? are these the end times? could this be when jesus returns? looks kind of creepy to me
I can’t believe there wasn’t any warning system for the potential of disaster. I can see from the photos how the waves look like any other waves. How would you have known? It seems, somehow, the media(or government)could have warned the people. The waves were like any other far away. How was anyone to know the waves would not break back away from the shore? No wonder, that people stayed to watch. It looked, from all the internet videos, that the waves were a little different but not dangerous. It makes me so mad. People should have been warned.
