More blog envy from the left. A bored person who hides behind various and corny pseudonyms has spent his/her precious time running a blog devoted to me: lashawnbarberexposed.blogspot.com (Sorry, dude/dudette; no link from me.).
I kicked this disgruntled pest off my blog, so he/she started one to “comment” on my posts. I’ve known about this site for a couple of months, and I’m writing about it now because I hope other disgruntled liberals link to it, and link liberally. It’s fuel to my fire.
I knew it was only a matter of time before the seething rage (and vulgarity) of certain unnamed and unlinked-to leftists (there are many others) caused their latent lunacy to spring to life. I’m nobody, people. Find something better to do. Contribute something to the world besides anti-La Shawn rage. I assure you I’m not worth it.

I haven’t even written a book yet. I haven’t been on FOX News. I’ve achieved only marginal success as a small-time op-ed writer. I get only modest traffic and attention as a blogger. But these people spend their days trying to come up with clever (or crude) posts and turns-of-phrase to hurt my feelings. FYI, it hasn’t worked.
If you people couldn’t handle me in 2004, I think 2005 will be quite a miserable year for you.
Update: Michelle Malkin, whose six-month blogiversary is this month, says to the player-haters: “Y’all come back now. 2005 will be even hotter.”

As far as the above-mentioned blog is concerned, I’d agree. More envy than hatred. But there are several liberal bloggers out there (who’ll never get mentioned or linked to on this site) who do hate me. It’s irrational.
We’re all envious of others at some point or another. I recently channeled my envy-energy into a constructive and creative activity. Others come up with ridiculous “anti” sites.

OK I went to his site. Holy cow that guy is nuts. Talk about needing medication. And all his points don’t even make sense, he takes things out of context, twists them around, and then spews bile about his little straw men he created.

2. A perceived threat.
If you were ineffective he would not bother with you.

LB, not only are you (through your writing and expression of your beliefs) an inspiration, but it’s just not feasible that any rational person can find anything “hateable” to carp about.
Ann Coulter uses biting sarcasm — I think to good effect — and says things that are apparently deliberately outrageous, so I can understand how some humorless twits might take her figurative expressions literally and be personally offended (assuming her parody applied to them, which is what they would find offensive). They ’shoot the messenger,’ nothing new about that.
But these attacks on you tend to substantiate something I’ve strongly believed about much of the “hate Bush” paranoia: It’s more from a rabid atheistic, or more precisely, anti-Christian fervor than anything the Pres (or you) does or says.
There again, reasonable people can disagree with any number of positions Bush may take (I’m reasonable, and I’ve sure got a few disagreements with him); but there is just absolutely nothing “hateable” or sinister about the man.
The haters, though? “Sinister” about covers it.

As a long time supporter of conservative women in the political arena I salute you.
No right of center political commentator, candidate or activist has really accomplished their goal of being relevant until they have at least one of the following:
1. A flood of nasty letters to the editor calling them names.
2. Their very own anti web site calling them names.
3. At least a half dozen nasty editorial opinions from left wing editorial writers calling them names.
On an even brighter note, traditionally before reaching the status that justifies the left doing one of the above, a woman has to live through commentary that she is just the mouthpiece for, or under the control of, some male. I’ve never seen that kind of comment about you, so maybe we have reached the point where conservative women only have to face the same vile reaction from the left as men.

Not really that big of a deal! No offense LB but why would one want to start their own blog just so they can disagree with you? I’m not sure (I refuse to go there), but I think great tracks of land at D.U. and Indymedia are devoted to fear and loathing of LGF Lizardoids. These hatemongers are full of envy because bloggers like you are read and linked to and they (or their faves) are not except among the BDS crowd. This is not a new theme for the Leftist-commie-pinkos, it has been dredged up before.
In the debates before the 2000 election, President Bush was asked to name the person who influenced his life the most and his answer was Jesus Christ. As everyone will remember the MSM went ballastic.
Since this is a conservative site, it is marked for attack by the left, since it is a site that mentions G-d and Jesus often as I have read it is double-suited for the most vicious attacks from the left.
As I see it, there whole philosophy is based on shades of grey , to the LEFT there are no absolutes only these dusty, dingy areas that are shaded and how dare you convey by belief or the written word to say there are such things as absolutes. To my way of thinking if they admit there are absolutes, then their whole existence is for nothing, it means people must be held accountable for their actions, words and deeds, this does not fit into their mold of ‘touchy-feely’ liberalism, where no one is to blame for anything except the United States and conservatives, and it is because of our belief that there should be standards and laws to live by, well how dare we judge anyone, that said, it is because of the Right that all these terrible things happen, ergo no one except conservatives are to blame and anyone else is a victim.
