Well, the Tarantino episode last night was pretty good. Being a bit claustrophobic myself, it was sorta hard to watch at points. [Rapid heartbeat, sweaty palms.....]

Ron Wright–CSI employs two retired criminologists–one who specializes in forensics and one who specializes in investigations, and both are well versed in eachother’s fields. Yes, CSI does a few things wrong, and they have much higher-tech equipment than the typical forensics laboratories, but that’s because the companies that make the equipment give it to the show for advertisement purposes (for example, every computer on the show is a Dell, and usually a high-end one).

RepJ and Redbeard–Tarantino is actually a nice guy. As far as the episode is concerned, trust me, you won’t need the barf bucket (g).

The Therapist–what was wrong with that episode? Sure, there were loads of sick jokes, but that was best part of it (hehehe). Good luck on catching up.

Oh, and as far as Gary Dourdan is concerned, he not only looks good, he feels good too.

I am in “catch up” mose as far as CSI goes. I am into the fifth episode of the fourth season, and apparrenly, Grissom is no longer deaf as a result of surgical amelioration.

So I am a bit behind. And I am loving nearly every minute of it.

Could have done without the “Racoon Man” episode, however.

Hmm. My gf is a bigger fan of George Eads than Gary. She also likes Guilfoyle’s character; confident and takes no guff. But I think it’s Eads’ butt she likes. She perked up when she heard Ben Browder is coming back to TV this summer. Again, I think it’s the butt.
I’ll just content myself with the fact that it is me she goes home with

Yeah, Gary Dourdan is fine. However, I wouldn’t have him cut his hair. He actually looks better with longer hair (he was in a Janet Jackson video back in the day and “A Different World,” with dreadlocks). Of course, “CSI” is one of my favorite shows for other reasons. “CSI: Miami” is alright, but “CSI: New York” sucks.

Another reason I like CSI. On one episode William Peterson’s character, in referring to a murder victim that had been redressed after being killed, said, “As phony as a Chappaquiddick neck brace.” That’s the only time I have heard a throw-away line whose target was a Democrat rather than a Republican. Before the 2000 election, one would have thought that Texas was the only state that executed criminals–if one went by the throw-away lines in the TV dramas.

Just remember CSI is FICTION!

Watch it for it’s entertainment value. As for reality in the real world of criminal justice, it’s more like science fiction than fact. The technology may exist and have scientific validity but don’t expect your local “cop shop” to have these tools or if they do use them in less than serious felony cases involving serious injury or death. No more than Barney Fife in the Andy Griffth Show having a e-pulse technology weapon or phaser.

Another myth buster – CSI crime scene technicians don’t run criminal investigations, that’s the job of the hard working detectives. This in no way is meant to discredit crime scene technicians who are a very valuable asset to investigators. An analogy is skilled surgeons working with a team of skilled surgical nurses and technicians.

Gary Dourdan kicked butt in Aliens 4, too.
I have a lot of respect for Marg Helgenberger as an actress. She has a ton of credits to her name. I’m hoping they go through with the fling between Cathrine and Warrick.
I think Jorja Fox has a lot of unappreciated acting ability that we’re just seeing glimpses of in these last two seasons.
What can be said about William Peterson? He rocks.
I like the almost “jock” spirit George Eads brings to the show, enormous dome and all!
Special mention for Aisha Tyler, for whom I have harbored a secret crush ever since she hosted that weird blind date on a bus show. It’s really refreshing to see her moving continually upward in Hollywood by using her acting talents.

yes CSI is very addictive as Samantha said… I made sure the TV in the hospital got CBS and was willing to pay for premium TV service if needed just so I would not have to miss CSI.. my TV is programmed to turn to CBS automatically at 9pm on Thursday nights and I tape the episode so I can re-watch on the weekends… I recently caught myself talking about one of the characters as if the were a real person that I knew… on a random note, does anyone remember watching Marg on Ryan’s Hope??
