Mind & Media Is Looking For Reviewers!

Stacy Harp is a Christian promoter on the move.

The blogger and entrepreneur runs several sites, including Mind & Media. Stacy is looking for medium- to high-traffic bloggers to write reviews of books and DVDs. One available book is No More Christian Nice Guy, which touches on the “Aren’t Christians supposed to be nice?” stereotype and encourages men to be bold for Christ:

Using the biblical model of Christ as his example of a real man, Coughlin shows men how to become both gentle and bold. A powerful challenge and a hopeful message that elevates the true biblical model of manhood above prevailing views in the church and contemporary culture, this important book helps men discover who they are in Christ and how to live for Him.

Update: Stacy will let me know when the Missionary Positions DVD is available, but she needs 10 reviewers for No More Christian Nice Guy (Come on, Christian men!), 4 for Christ-Based Leadership, and 2 for Connecting With Your Kids.

Contact Stacy.

No More Christian Nice Guy, sounds good, alas, I’ll hardly have time to read it, let alone review.

Then there’s Missionary Position. At first I thought, whaaat! Immediately I thoughtt of passages that warn not to talk of bedroom activities, then I scrolled down further…

I can agree with the substance of the verse, ie becoming weak to win the weak. All the same, while I have no intention of venturing into that realm, I am curious about the effectiveness of this outreach.

Andy,

If you saw this DVD I guarantee you would have no problem with it. There is no nudity in the DVD, and you can see the work of God all through it.

Stacy, thanks for taking time to clarify.

La Shawn, I’ll send you copy of the DVD so you can review it yourself.

I just spoke with the filmmaker and he’s rethinking the amount. Stay tuned…. and thanks for your work.

xxxchurch.com is an OUTSTANDING group doing a lot of good. Lord willing they’ll continue unabated and without falling!

To clarify for those that don’t know xxxchurch.com, it’s NOT a porn site. It’s a christian site that google-bombed their way into the porn surfing mainstream in order to grab those in the act of sinning.

Missionary Position is along the same lines.

Trust me, when you see the DVD you will know how wise these pastors are. The DVD is a lot of fun, inspiring and definitely one I will keep and share with a lot of people.

I will read and write some reviews, it sounds fun.

Dell Gines 06.16.05 at 10:46 am

Oh yeah, I will review the books, not the DVD’s.

I’m a reviewer and it’s alot of fun. As a homeschooler it’s a great way to get free books for me and the family. She has a wide variety of books available to review so don’t let one title scare you away. There’s lots to choose from.

And Stacy is not a selfish person at all. She works very hard to plug the blogs of the reviewers. And who couldn’t use a little more traffic to their blog.

For example, she has a reviewer of the week. And I’m proud to say she selected me as to spotlight this week. But you need to sign up to get the perks.

So if you’re thinking this isn’t for you…if a homeschool mom of 6 can do it anyone can.
