Federal authorities say Samir and Munir Yousif Shana told investigators they were contacted by a person in their hometown of Baghdad, who said he could smuggle them into San Diego.
The two have relatives in San Diego.
Federal agents yesterday arrested the pair, along with two accused Mexican immigrant smugglers and a youngster, in the Paso de Aguila district of Tecate. (Source)
These clowns could be innocent Iraqis looking for a better life or terrorist thugs reuniting with their terrorist thug brothers already hiding out in the U.S. making plans to blow us all to Mars. They say what it reveals is that the pipeline is open (and all the middle east knows) and everyone’s telling everyone else (sounds like that old shampoo commercial). They say what is interesting is the Iraqi population in San Diego is Caldean (Christian), these two guys and some of the others who are caught… are NOT. The Christians have normally asked for politically asylum…etc., etc…

The LA Times recently reported on two Arab men with terror links who came across the Mexican border. Algeria has been courting Mexico & is working on developing closer ties, especially with reagrds to immigration to Mexico. It doesn’t tax the mind to think of what happens after that.

Minefield debate raging!
It is not just another silly idea. The debate is raging about the use of minefileds and other legitimate security measures to keep invaders out of the US. The use of minefields as is popularly attacked is being discussed on many many other forums and in MANY conservative circles. and not as some radical wacko extreme countermeasure.
Don’t be fooled by the naysayers.
