Your suggestion to fast is beautiful. There is power in prayer and fasting. God listens to us when whether or not we are eating a Big Mac, a bowl of broccoli or nothing at all. But He also tells us to fast and pray. Also, it would be a very meaningful way to communicate to our British brothers and sisters and EVERYONE else in the world that we care.

P.S. I can’t believe this is the first time I’ve checked out your blog. I’ve been hearing about it for so long and it lives up to it’s reputation. Thank you so much!

I AM a believer.

Like you, I believe in the power of prayer.

I just oppose those “peacenicks” who use prayer and religion as an excuse for inaction when our neighbors are being tortured and killed.

And yes – the terrorists need our prayers as well.

May I suggest thst we pray for Israel and pray for the Peace of Jerusalem. For decades the Jews have suffered attacks such as the ones we in the West have just begun to experience, without a similar call for prayer and fasting. For years Jews in Europe, especially Britain and France have been assaulted physically and verbally by Islamofasists and anti-semites…without a call to prayer and fasting for their pain and loss.

The Holy One of Israel, the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob has not abandoned Israel or the Jew.

I believe we are yet to see Zechariah 14:16. (read Zech. 12, 13 and 14)

Many, Have adopted the notion that the church has replaced Israel and therefore, discount the terror done to her and indeed fault her for the harm done to her and the world by Islamist……Israel is like the canary in the tunnel…..we’ve ignored her warnings for too lone…..

Frank, to unbelievers, the cross is foolishness. But to those who believe, we know it’s the power of God. Prayer moves mountains, and God listens. He may not respond in ways we desire or expect, but he responds. That’s not to say we can’t move forward and act, but don’t discount praying Christians.

Prayer? Only if it is accompanied by action.

The endless candlelight vigils on the anniversary of 911 were nauseating – when the praying people preached “lets understand the terrorists”.

Martin Luther I believe opposed the Pope because Luther didn’t think “prayer alone” was enough – he believed in action.

I believe in action – and ther is no time like the present to say:

“Praise the Lord and pass the amunition.”

On Monday, I will say a few prayers – for the victims and for the people who will find their killers.

7/11 – yeah, sad but a correct name. We all are fighting on this one because the terrorists sure think they are clever. What smart people to hurt and kill men, women, and even CHILDREN in the recent London bomb blasts. Now, world citizens will surely say, â€œOkay, we give up, come control our lives with your ideologies.â€ Right? The problem with the leadership at al-Qaeda is that they havenâ€™t figured out that people have no love for killers. Their point of view will only attract the very young and impressionable or the very old and desperate. They miss the largest demographic- law abiding citizens who want peace. If itâ€™s the masses a group wants to affect, do something absolutely worthwhile and positive with the resources. Win hearts. The world may be talking about al-Qaeda , but itâ€™s not in love with it and the goods itâ€™s selling. Without winning hearts, MommyCool.com notes the change al-Qaeda hopes for will always be shallow.
