This blog and La Shawn’s convictions and courage have been inspirational to me, especially when I first got here–I was in a rut. If things that I’m pursuing work out (and I have a feeling they will), it will be partly because of this blog.

La Shawn,

I agree with much of your comments regarding your disgust with politics and responses from folks regarding same.

What I found during my many years of GOP activism is that unscrupulous folks will take advantage of our disgust. If we want to make a difference by influencing events we must get engaged. Of course there are degrees of involvement to suit availability.

Personally, I do not want to self assign myself to the outside complaining about conditions of blacks. It takes just as much energy for frustration than it does being part of the change process.

If folks enjoy keeping their heads in the sand that is another matter which I have no solution.

I know what you mean about being fed up with politics. They are all so interested in themselves and their party they are not getting done the jobs we elected them to do. Both sides are guilty and I’m fed up with it too. I constantly pray God will stop the petty bickering and allow our lawmakers to act as adults and do the right thing. Only He knows if it will happen.

LB…I understand your feelings, totally…but remember Psalm 23 “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death…” We walk through…we don’t stay. We live in really tough times. Some days its hard to see any goodness in life or people…but we have to keep moving forward in this life that He’s given us and remember His ultimate and eternal sovereignty. We all feel the pain in that moment, but we can’t “move in” with it. You have a lot of people on this blog that really care about you. None of us really know each other, but most of us seem to share a bond with you, through Him. Rejoice in that and keep going. You have so, so much to give. God Bless you.

As far as those Londonders go, remember the cops don’t even carry guns over there. So much for keeping the peace.

Man oh man, do I hear you LaShawn…..I’ve had to back away too from much of the news….it is disheartening to see the blindness and evil out there….but we must remember……all these tribulations and sorrow must come to pass before Christ’s return…….evil is on the march and having her day…..but Good wins in the end..

Also, sorry about my outburst on the other thread……that’s exactly what I am talking about……I am so sick of liberal boobery but I am not handling my temper very well these days…
