This Jackie Wagstaff has an impressive resume! Unhinged is good - at least it will help you become a rising political star in a certain major political party in this country.

Forget this being mayor stuff! If Jackie can provide proof that she has, say, left a young woman trapped in a car to drown, then she will have all the credentials needed to be the Democratic presidential nominee.

Wackie Jackie in '08 !

#35: Don't forget Philadelphia mayor John Street, and his sheister brother Milton.
#43: But if the community falls in behind her, they will look bad for that decision. Right now, it seems like she running on being a black woman and little else.

Ms. Wagstaff doesn't make ME look bad any more than Shaquille O'Neal makes me look tall. The sharing of a common biology is just that and no more. I know of not a single White person who felt, or should have felt guilty over the actions of Timothy McVie. I realize that we have a different historical pathology, but individuals are, after all, individual.

Let’s ask this: Was it a crime? That’s all that matters. “Breaking” the law in the name of good is still breaking the law…and it is wrong.

If I'm thirsty, but drink from the "wrong fountain" I've broken the law, yes, but you are prepared to tell me I'm wrong, too?

If I sit because I'm tired, but in the "wrong seat" I've broken the law, yes, but here, too, I am wrong?

If I am taxed but not represented and I destroy the tea that is bought with my taxes, I've broken the law, but I am wrong, still?

FSU has the backing of the Seminole Tribe. The Seminole council voted to send a statement of the tribe's approval of the use of the Seminole name by the university, and they even gave the NCAA a little slap by asking that other organizations respect their decision.

And still the prissy PC gang at the NCAA passes this imbecilic ban. I saw someone, can't remember where, asking if the NCAA might have bigger priorities, like, oh, I dunno, actually seeing to it that student athletes get an education in between football games. ;)

NCAA American Indian mascot ban will begin Feb. 1ESPN.com news services

INDIANAPOLIS -- The NCAA banned the use of American Indian mascots by sports teams during its postseason tournaments, but will not prohibit them otherwise.........

The "Right Not To Be Offended?"

Even though I hail from a rival institution, I stand with Florida State on this.

Jan, While Rosa Parks gets the credit for setting off the "Civil Rights Movement" she was hardly the first to ever refuse to give up her seat to a white person on a bus. In fact, many did and the most prominent incident occured when Ms. Claudette Colvin, the ACTUAL "Mother of the Civil Rights Movement" refused to give up her seat, but alas, she was not marketable for the NAACP. Unfortunately for history, Claudette was a teen, single, pregnant woman and was distasteful for the NAACP elites to put forth as their poster child for the movement.

She was therefore relegated to footnote status and fair-skinned, attractive, active NAACP member and organizational employee Rosa Parks was given the face of the movement and the title and erroneous place in revised history.

Rosa even admitted that she didn't necessarily act on principle as much as she did because she was just tired.

There's a fine line between legal actions and illegal but moral actions. Sometimes legality does not jibe with morality, and civil disobedience, to some degree, is justified.

All Rosa Parks did was to sit down, but her action became a cause, then a movement, then a law, and finally captured the hearts and minds of the people. Pretty good result, I'd say, for a simple and very mild act of civil disobedience.

For that matter, Lexington and Concord represented an illegal act, but I'm pretty happy with the outcome.
