Finally, after a year and nine months of blogging, I’ve received over 1,000,000 unique visitors. (Does this mean I can stop now?)
Actually, I signed up with Site Meter a year and three months ago, so that’s over 1,000,000 unique visitors in the past year and three months. Not bad. Thanks, readers! Let’s try for 1,000,000 more!
There are greater, there are lesser, but I’m grateful to you for the daily/weekly/monthly visits and the time you spend at LBC. According to my blog stats, there are 1,118 posts and 33,602 comments. That’s a lot of blogging and discussing.

Update: Silly me. I’m on my second Site Meter account. In May 2004, a server crashed, and I lost about 8,000 stats. I made a note on the account so I’d remember. That means since I started blogging (or thereabouts), I’ve had over 1,008,000 unique visitors. I hit the milestone maybe a week-and-a-half ago. Oh, well.
Not that I care about mere numbers, of course…
Update (8/17): Wonderful comments, everyone. You’re the tops!

Gongrats!
How about Congrats rather than Gongrats. I should have used the spell checker.
It worked.
La Shawn, Thanks for your patience that you show toward those of us who might deserve a flogging or two.
Impressive, and well deserved.
Congrats!
I think you’ll have no trouble hitting 2 million.
p.s. Barenaked Ladies…macaroni and cheese!
Very cool La Shawn, I wouldn’t be surprised if you hit the big 2 mill in a few months from now. I just recently hit the 1 mill mark a few weeks ago, the feeling is very cool!
Congrats on the milestone. I still think I was the millionth!
LaShawn,
May your FIRST million dollars be a tax free gift and your subsequent millions have the ability to hide!
May Oprah one day ask YOU for a cup-o-dollaz!
Love ya!
* I bet you won’t gig me on the caps on this one.
If I Had a Million Dollars
Bare Naked Ladies – the best Canada can come up with.lol
Big-time congrats, La Shawn!
You realize that this is the second time you’ve asked this question of this song (and used it as a post header, I believe). I still think green dresses are cruel.
Robbie – I was thinking about you after I posted this entry.
Somebody beat you to the answer this time.
Congratulations!
Well done LaShawn! A million congratulations… or is it 1,008,000 congrats? Way to go. It won’t be long now before you reach 2 mil. BTW, I saw the Black Blog Awards link on our page here, and I voted for you in all applicable catagories. Hope you win!
Congrats! I’m very impressed as it’s taken me over 4 months to break 2000 TOTAL hits! You rule – keep going!
La Shawn,
I must admit being among the last of the Million to read your posts. I began paying attention to blogs shortly after May 11, 2004, but chanced upon your site much later.
Keep writing from your Faith. I’ll keep reading.
Cheers,
Wow, that is INCREDIBLE! You certainly worked hard for it and took a lot of heat. Congratulations!
It’s GREAT, LaShawn…
And to the other readers here…I may not always agree with you….but I’ll tell you what…at least in this Queen’s Domain (Tip of the hat to LaShawn), we can discuss things without fear of trolls, flamers and spammers.
Keep up the great site and work, LaShawn!
Dan
Congratulations! That is a lot of blogging…
La Shawn– I am pleased to see many homeschool parents over at “Homeschoolblogger.com” making references to visit La Shawn’s Blog. I appreciate your distinct style of blogging: tone, engaging, clarity, and firm openings. If you had a poll/survey as to “why” so many people read your blog, what would the readers say? What are the distinctions? Congratulations!

Well deserved traffic to a wonderful site. Thanks for all you do LaShawn!
I hope you don’t stop, La Shawn. Let that unique visitor counter keep on rollin’…two million, three million, to infinity and beyond!
P.S. “If I had a million dollars…I’d be rich!”
Congratulations La Shawn, for everyone you have reached is everyone you have touched.
You may never know the greater extent of what changes your words have made unto the world, but by the sheer volume of your contact and by the presence you have made known, be assured that you have made over a part of the world in the shape of your thoughts.
History will remember in the testimony of your effect on others even if it may not accord these things to your name.
In the the vastness of the multitudes of people in this world there are only a small few (without first achieving another fame) whose utterances are sufficiently profound to have found to have favor with so many. Such responsibility is both exhilarating and frightening and is a Blessing from God.
May His Blessings continue to follow for you long into the future.
