Whenever you post something publicly, there’s always a risk that people won’t actually read what you’ve written and will come up with their own version of what you wrote. That seems to be the case with the post I wrote on Cindy Sheehan and conservative bloggers.

I’ve read responses to my post on other blogs, and it seems that some bloggers have relied on inaccurate accounts from other bloggers. That’s the nature of the blogosphere, and I have neither the time nor the inclination to go around setting everyone straight.

Some bloggers are writing that I said conservatives shouldn’t write about Sheehan at all, and that is a lie, for the record.

What Sheehan is doing is newsworthy and should be covered, but I question why people seem to be obsessed with one woman. I couldn’t care less whether the left is using her; so what if they are? I think MSM is playing up the Sheehan “scandal” to distract from more important things, such as the allegation that Air America stole half a million dollars from poor black kids in New York and that MSM can’t get past its biased to cover the story objectively, and the fact that a Democratic governor of a border state just declared a “border emergency” because of the growing ill-effects illegal “immigration” is having on his state. Sheehan pales in comparison.

I’m only one person, and it’s not my mission to sway people or tell them how to write or what to think. I never said nor will I ever say that conservative bloggers shouldn’t write about Sheehan. The “lay off” comment is directed toward those who’ve gone beyond standards of fairness and decency, and no, I will not link. I am not a flame warrior. If you’re not smart enough to search Technorati and do your own legwork, you shouldn’t be reading this blog.

I’m not shocked or even angry that some conservative bloggers are misrepresenting my words. I expect it, and that is what’s most disappointing. Your Cindy Sheehan obsession is unbecoming and counterproductive, regardless of anything she may have said or written.
