Secretary of Homeland Security Michael Chertoff told people in New Orleans not to go the Superdome? Where are they suppose to go to be picked up? No ONe is addressing the crisis at the New Orleans Convention CEnter?? Can't we drop some supplies from the air?? This is turning into the receipe for a massacre from the guntoting 30,000 soliders and deseperation.

Emergency Homeschool Plan available- free, online, may be used by anybody:
http://www.amblesideonline.org/HELP.shtml

The Ambleside Online Advisory has created a free curriculum plan, AO-HELP,
for families and relief workers who need emergency educational help for
children in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. All books and materials
necessary are available online for free. It requires no materials other
than pencil and paper, and a Good Samaritan friend with access to a
computer and a printer. It is designed to be user-friendly, even for those
who have never taught, and suitable for a wide age range.

We offer AO-HELP in the hopes that it will fill a gap for the churches,
support groups and other organizations that suddenly need to set up
temporary schools for the evacuated children in their care who no longer
have schools to attend, and also for families who wish to continue
homeschooling during this crisis but do not have access to school materials.

AO-HELP -- Ambleside Online Helping Hands Emergency Learning Plan
http://www.amblesideonline.org/HELP.shtml

We would greatly appreciate any help you can give us toward getting the
word out quickly about AO-HELP to those in need.

We would also like to encourage churches and individuals to make copies of
the e-texts required for implementing AO-HELP for those without
computers. School supplies such as this can be sent to Project Noah for
distribution to those in need. More information here:
http://www.projectnoah.org/ .

Thank you so much for any help you can offer.

You can read this entry from LaShawn Barber's weblog, which contains this interesting quote: Double Toothpicks has a link to the looting video. Notice any similarities among the crooks? Um, what are you implying? Why don't you just say it?...

brotherbrown, it appears to me that there are no rich folks looting Walmarts in the hurricane damaged areas, that it's mostly poor people who either would not or could not get out. That being said, I seriously doubt that Jesus would be joining in the looting. Whether or not the poor are amoral, they're in there stealing televisions and jewelry and guns. Food and water? I say take what you need because it's a matter of survival, but they don't NEED the jewelry or electronics, and the firearms are going to make things REALLY interesting in the days and weeks to come.

One other thing, when the authorities finally do get those bums out of there, don't be sending them HERE, because we don't want 'em....

The poor are amoral? For people who claim to be christian, a whole lot of you seem to have know clue what Jesus would do if he were in New Orleans right now.

Yeah, the hyocrisy of these people amazes me. In their mind I'm sure Jesus would rationalize shooting people on site. Unbelievable.
