Happy Saturday!
I’m in South Carolina to celebrate with former high school classmates this weekend. I’ve been out of high school 20 years. Most are married with children, but none of us look like we’ve been out of high school 20 years.
Interesting things:
— James White is a man on a mission. He’s up to Part IV of his series on debunking The Da Vinci Code. For background on why Christian bloggers should blog about the book and upcoming movie, see Bloggers and Da Vinci and all links in the post.
— Do you know Christian blogger Randy Thomas? He not only has a great-looking site, but a powerful testimony, too.
— Christian Recovery is collecting testimonies.
— Pundit Review Blogger and radio show host Gregg Jackson wants your input on his homosexual “marriage” post.
— Libya Imprisons Blogger (via The Tar Pit)
— Glenn Greenwald on George Bush’s trip to Latin America: “George Bush is here in Latin America this week, visiting Brazil and Argentina, and the standard reports of the American media are trying to depict a handful of isolated, juvenile socialist-organized “demonstrations” as some sort of sweeping, popular mass protest against Bush’s visit…”
— Is James Dobson the most influential Christian evangelical in the country?
— If you’re a milblogger (military blogger), register your blog at Milblogging.com.

— I missed last week’s Michael-Steele-in-blackface blog swarm intentionally because I didn’t think other bloggers should give the liberal blogger who did it more attention than he or his kindergarten photoshopping deserved. But he got it. As a result, his traffic has probably shot up and he’s more popular than ever. Who’s talking: Conservative Dialysis, A.M. Blog, GOP Bloggers, and the Oreo cookie debacle…
— I also missed, though not intentionally, the flap about the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, which contends that Clarence Thomas doesn’t represent the views of mainstream blacks. In my opinion, that’s a true statement, thank goodness. Why conservatives are so upset is a mystery. Who’s talking: RightFaith, New Leadership Blog, WorldNetDaily article…
— Does leftist, Bush-and-Cheney-hating, corporation-bashing Michael Moore own stock in the evil Halliburton?
— Welcome Wake Up Black America and The Real Ugly American to the blogosphere!
— Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, based on the fourth book in a seven-book series, premieres on November 18. Will you see it the first day? (Come out of the closet!)
— I agreed with leftist New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd earlier this year when she wrote about the dearth of women op-ed writers (reg. req.). Hate her politics; love her personal essays. Well, she’s done it again in What’s a Modern Girl to Do? I may blog about this later. Well-done, Maureen.
