in Illegal Aliens, War - Islamofascism

Update III (4/8): The stalling of the immigration bill is a double-edged sword. Bush’s amnesty failed, but so did border security.

Update II: Herman Cain: No correlation between civil rights and illegals’ rights.

Larry Elder on Mexico’s illegal aliens.

Alan Reynolds: “President Bush insults our intelligence when he says illegal immigrants are needed to fill jobs that legal residents won’t do. There is no job that can’t be filled at a price.”

Update (12:23 p.m.) : Conservative senators reject King George’s amnesty-for-illegal-aliens bill. For now.

“Who gave foreigners the right to demand that the U.S. not enforce its own laws?” Good question. Answers, anyone? Anyone?

——————————————————————————————————————————–

“A patriot must always be ready to defend his country against his government.” – Edward Abbey, naturalist and author

A U.S. Senate compromise on an overhaul of immigration law appeared to get bogged down late on Thursday in the face of opposition by some Republicans who say it would give amnesty to lawbreakers.

It appeared unlikely the Senate would approve before a two-week congressional break on Friday the radical immigration reform that would give millions of illegal immigrants a chance to earn U.S. citizenship. (Reuters)

It’s good to know that some Republicans in Congress are actually conservatives who care about this country. I hope the amnesty-for-illegal-aliens bill continues to stall. Pardoning illegal aliens and allowing them to continue benefiting from their illegal activity sends a strong message to others inclined to disregard America’s immigration law. It also sends a message to America’s hard-working legal citizens and residents: screw you.

The rule of law has been eroding for some time now. Think about the effect amnesty will have on criminal aliens who commit additional crimes, especially the ones prone to drinking, driving, and killing innocent people. The word illegal is rendered meaningless. If flouting immigration law isn’t illegal, why should drunk driving be illegal? Or selling drugs?

flagIf you think there’s too much race-talk now, just wait until a critical mass of black people finally “get it” and realize how criminal aliens are hurting black workers forced to compete with them. Elite politicians and “the wealthy” are insulated. They don’t and probably will never have to compete with criminal aliens hired for low wages by criminal businesses. It’s the average person on the street who suffers.

And think about the message this sends to home-grown criminals. Under Bush’s plan, millions of foreign criminals would go unpunished just so they can continue providing low-wage and low-skilled labor. As I said, if you think you’re fed up with race now…

I agree with Diana West. The “Islamization of the Western world” and the Mexican invasion are similar, and both mark a turning point in the decline of American culture and our way of life. Liberalism, tolerance for all things but freedom (which must be defended by force, by the way; no such thing as “free” freedom) and decency, will ultimately be the death of the United States.

My niece and nephews and their children will inherit a country rapidly diminishing in stature. Its Christian (or western, if you like) heritage is already being replaced by opposing (foreign, godless, counterintuitive, suicidal) values, the kind that could never have built a country as great as the United States. Our men are emasculated, our nation is Balkanized, and ordinary, law-abiding Americans are second-class citizens.

I’ll try to have a good weekend anyway, and I hope you do the same.

Homework assignment: Is there an historical precedent for rewarding millions (or thousands or hundreds) of criminals with amnesty en masse?

Addendum: In response to Bush’s denial that his amnesty plan is an amnesty plan, Lawrence Auster writes:

This is like saying that if I steal $1,000 from the government, and the government allows me to keep the money that I’ve illegally taken without being punished, that’s not amnesty. It’s only amnesty if, on top of letting me keep the money that I’ve illegally taken, the government gives me a house and a car.

Sorry, La Shawn, Amnesty is here to stay. This is just reality.

But without a wall, none of this stuff means anything. A wall can keep undesireables out, and no plan – amnesty or otherwise – can make any difference at all without a wall.

I am unsure what Americans are complaining about “staling jobs” – our unemployment is 5%. Jobs are begging in New Orleans, yet our lazy Americans won’t take them.

No doubt we can absorb the illegals at present, and a wall will drastically reduce new illaegals.

But we have welcomed these illegals with open arms for years – it’s just not “American” to kick them all out.

Amnesty or not, a wall is essential – and effective.

Renee 04.07.06 at 7:49 am

I took your advice from last week…I listen to Rush Limbaugh so I can at least get a good laugh out of all this.

I’m remindinded of the Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire (many striking similarities and they were pagans).

Renee 04.07.06 at 7:50 am

Amnesty is here to stay as long as our greed and covetousness is more important than all else…

in that sense, I agree with Frank (which makes this all the more sad)…Full out anarchy is not far behind

Frank Zavisca 04.07.06 at 8:46 am

Renee:

I didn’t say I agree with amnesty, but it is a political reality. And really – after we invited these people in with open arms – how can we just kick them out?

But Amnesty without a wall is suicidal – which is the most likely outcome.

Yes, anarchy is not far behind.

PS Illegals who came to rebuild Gulf Coast, when “evacuees” simply refuse to work – should get some preferential treatment to obtain legal status.

Cobb 04.07.06 at 9:39 am

We don’t have to kick them out. We can just declare them felons with commuted sentences. That way they can be officially and permanently second class ‘citizens’ with no rights to bear arms or vote. Since they don’t think it’s worth it to be citizens the legal and proper way, we should oblige them that – and nothing more.

RedBeard 04.07.06 at 9:42 am

There are two quite different initiatives that must be undertaken. First we must keep new illegals (criminals) out. Secondly, we must find some feasible way to deal with the illegals (criminals) who are already here.

As Frank says, the wall, fence, advanced radar or whatever, is absolutely imperative. Stopping the flow of illegals (criminals) must be done first, and right now, if any of the other solutions to the existing presence of illegals (criminals) in our midst are to have any hope of succeeding.

By the way, did I mention that illegals are criminals? ;-)

Thomas 04.07.06 at 11:08 am

Did I go a whole week without getting a comment deleted? I get a prize for that right?! :)

#1: I totally agree on the wall. If we’re not going to come up with the manpower to stop illegals from just walking over, then build a dang wall.

As for “stealing” jobs, in my opinion it’s not so much that they are STEALING jobs as they are driving down wages for what were already low-paying jobs. They often pay no taxes, healthcare costs, etc. so they can accept jobs at lower wages than legal citizens can.

Glamchild 04.07.06 at 11:11 am

“Is there an historical precedent?”—La Shawn

Unfortunately there is. Caesar Chavez was a thug who advocated violence during his labor protests. Che Guevarra engaged in beatings and threw grenades to get his labor messages across. Now these two reprobates are heros of the labor movement, and public schools honor them with holidays in their name.

Native Americans routinely flout Federal Laws. The drug culture on reservations is astounding. Peyote and weed are open fixtures. Many of the tribes believe in polygamy, and many of the children don’t get formal schooling. Technically reservations aren’t subject to State and local law, but they are under Federal law. They don’t recognize that, though. The Native American act and free land was a big reward, and tax payers continue to reward gambling and other vices with even more welfare to native Americans.

Bad behavior, drug addiction/possession etc… is routinely rewarded by society, it seems.

Today I am changing my status from registered Republican to Independent. This follows on the heels of my discussion with somebody in the Republican party who called soliciting a contribution from me. I told him that I was most unhappy with the Republican party due to their stance on illegal immigration and I would not contribute and will not vote for any candidate who supports amnesty. He told me he had received similar responses as mine and would be informing his supervisor. I have been a lifelong Republican but the party has forgotten who they work for. As the old saying goes, money talks, and they are no longer getting mine and they know why. I am thoroughly disgusted.

dianne, instead of leaving the party, work within it to bring about change. that is what i am trying to do.

LaShawn sez:
“Who gave foreigners the right to demand that the U.S. not enforce its own laws?” Good question. Answers, anyone? Anyone?

LOL:) No one of course. At it is the height of hypocrisy that they do so, considering how MEXICO treats its immigrants and MEXICAN LAWS. Let’s take a last look in summary at Mexican “diversity” and of coruse we all know, it is the gringos who are the real “racists”. according to an official translation published by the Organization of American States, the Mexican constitution includes the following restrictions:

—————

1) Pursuant to Article 33, “Foreigners may not in any way participate in the political affairs of the country.” This ban applies, among other things, to participation in demonstrations and the expression of opinions in public about domestic politics like those much in evidence in Los Angeles, New York and elsewhere in recent days.

Equal employment rights are denied to immigrants, even legal ones. Article 32: “Mexicans shall have priority over foreigners under equality of circumstances for all classes of concessions and for all employment, positions, or commissions of the Government in which the status of citizenship is not indispensable.”

Jobs for which Mexican citizenship is considered “indispensable” include, pursuant to Article 32, bans on foreigners, immigrants, and even naturalized citizens of Mexico serving as military officers, Mexican-flagged ship and airline crew, and chiefs of seaports and airports.

Article 55 denies immigrants the right to become federal lawmakers. A Mexican congressman or senator must be “a Mexican citizen by birth.” Article 91 further stipulates that immigrants may never aspire to become cabinet officers as they are required to be Mexican by birth. Article 95 says the same about Supreme Court justices.

In accordance with Article 130, immigrants — even legal ones — may not become members of the clergy, either.

Foreigners, to say nothing of illegal immigrants, are denied fundamental property rights. For example, Article 27 states, “Only Mexicans by birth or naturalization and Mexican companies have the right to acquire ownership of lands, waters, and their appurtenances, or to obtain concessions for the exploitation of mines or of waters.”

Article 11 guarantees federal protection against “undesirable aliens resident in the country.” What is more, private individuals are authorized to make citizen’s arrests. Article 16 states, “In cases of flagrante delicto, any person may arrest the offender and his accomplices, turning them over without delay to the nearest authorities.” In other words, Mexico grants its citizens the right to arrest illegal aliens and hand them over to police for prosecution. Imagine the Minutemen exercising such a right!

The Mexican constitution states that foreigners — not just illegal immigrants — may be expelled for any reason and without due process. According to Article 33, “the Federal Executive shall have the exclusive power to compel any foreigner whose remaining he may deem inexpedient to abandon the national territory immediately and without the necessity of previous legal action.”

Enrique Cardova 04.07.06 at 12:39 pm

Ilegal immigration supporters and the “La Raza” type activists are always hollering that Mexicans are just “taking back” the Southwest, which “used to belong to Mexico”. But this claim is quite misleading and somewhat hypocritical.
The Southwest originally belonged to several Indian tribes, from the Apache to the Hopi, to the numerous other Pueblo tribes, NOT Mexico. Imperialist Spain led by the white conquistadors took over this area. When Mexico won independence it inherited this imperialist conquest. The white Spanish elite dominated then and still continues to dominate Mexico. That some elite members have limited mixture with Indians, or that many have the tan complexion common among Mediterrarean peoples like Italians or Portguese, doesn’t negate the fact that it is still primarily a Caucasian elite that runs Mexico, and that THEY took the land from the small Indian tribes in the area.

The Anastasi, Pueblo peoples and the Pacific Coast tribes, etc are the true originals who should “get back” the West, not illegals hundreds of miles distant across the Rio Grande or in the valley of Mexico.
Even the brown skinned Actecs never owned Texas, or any points north. What right have they or any people beyond the Rio Grande to claim that they are “taking back” lands that they never owned? Since when did “Mexicans” or tribes in the valley of Mexico “own” places like Chaco canyon, or the fishing grounds of what is now California or Oregon? The claims of assorted “Mexican” activists are bogus upon close scrutiny.

A review of Mexican history shows that “racism” is part and parcel of the Spanish-based elite as well. Mexican history is full of oppression, conquest, exploitation and even genocidal violence by the largely white elite against the original Indian inhabitants.
Thus hypocritial charges of “Anglo” domination wear thin. What they really resent is that it is not Iberian or Spanish based white people who dominate but northern Europeans. If Mexicans were serious about “justice” for so-called “lost” lands, then the largely white oligarchy would divest themselves of the power and resources they have wrested from the original Indian tribes and return it to “la raza”. They should begin with Cortes and work from there. But of course, such discussions would never see the light of day among the oligarchy. Apparently only Anglos are “racist”.
Hollering about “racism” is sheer hypocrisy based on the history of these people.

As for “restoring” wide swathes of “lost” lands, if white liberals are so serious about doing “justice” why don’t they begin vacating their homes and businesses and return the lands they now occupy to the Indians dispossed by their ancestors? Since Indians did not physically inhabit every square foot of the continent, there should still be enough room for them to live after the lands were turned over. How about it liberals?

As for those who look to the “masses” to “take back” the “unjustly taken” lands, they conveniently forget that among themselves, long before the white man came, some tribes were busy conquering and seizing the lands of other tribes as well. The Aztecs are a typical case in point not only conquering and exploiting numerous tribes, but even using them as human sacrifices. So too were the Maya, whose supposedly “kinder, gentler” religious practices included the vicious torture and human sacrifice of children in the name of their assorted gods like Taloc. Google it as see if indeed these people were the virtuous Third World, enviro-hugging paragons so often invoked in the name of “diversity.”

Before any start hollering about “restoring” lost lands, how about if Mexico itself is split up and restored to the original tribes that had the land BEFORE the various Aztecs and Maya rulers seized up. Don’t start at the white man. Let’s go back to those brown on brown conquests and render true “justice” to those dispossessed. Or is it a convenient one way thing, as long as only white people are involved?

Enrique Cardova 04.07.06 at 12:42 pm

Some Latino “activists” take the opposite tack, and claim that it is not “Mexicans” that are “retaking” the lands “belonging” to them but the Indian masses. But this claim is also bogus. Texas, the Southwest and the Pacific Coast was never occupied, conquered or controlled by peoples from the Valley of Mexico. The Valley of Mexico is hundreds of miles away, and if you go up Oregon way, thousands of miles from there. Even the mighty Aztecs where themselves MIGRANTS to the Valley of Mexico. They were aliens there as well. The true, origianl, Indian masses are the indigenous tribes of the area, the Anastasi, the Pueblo peoples, and the California/Oregon fishing and gathering tribes, NOT people from the valley of Mexico hundreds of miles distant.

If we are gonna give “retake” or “give back” anything, it should go to the original tribes, not alien suckas from hundred of miles away who have neither historical roots or claims to the area.
No matter how you slice it, whether its wetbacks coming across the Rio Grande in the 20th century, or Aztec lords in the 15th century, people from the Valley of Mexico are aliens to most of Texas, the Southwest and the Pacific Coast. While there were limited trade and cultural links with other tribes of what is now Mexico, the Actecz, Toltecs, Maya and all those others never controlled or conquered Texas, much less anything north of that. Claims of assorted “activists” or people to the south of Texas that they “deserve” or are “entitled” to such lands are dubious.

Renee in comment #2 had the right answer. The barbarian invasion of the Roman Empire is the closest historical prescedent. The emperors declined to spend on defense and sometimes invited the barbarians inside the walls of Rome. At a certain point the question of amnesty or Roman citizenship was a moot point. Rome, as it was known before, ceased to exist.
Lest someone cry “Foul!” or “Racism!” I would say that being a Roman or an American was/is a matter of culture, not race. The lack of assimilation and buy-in for the most basic values. We are losing the value of work by employing illegals in fast food rest instead of teens. We are losing the value of law by the lack of enforcement of immigration laws.
I also understood that NAFTA was a sort of deal with Mexico on immigration. We gave up some non-skilled manufacturing jobs in the USA to help develop the economy of Mexico to make it more attractive for Mexicans to stay home for work. But now we have the worst of both worlds. We have exported non-skilled jobs creating serious problems with those Americans who did not graduate from high school and we have imported Mexico’s poverty into the United States. We have politicians who seem to be representing a constituancy of illegal immigrants instead of American voters. Unbelievable!

And as for all the comments above, those of us who weren’t paying attention in history class – or were “too cool for high-school and thus absent” for those lessons, the above provided a great “history lesson!” Thanks!

I have a lot of thoughts about this issue (despair) but here’s one: whenever I hear a student say, “I’m looking for a summer job,” I pity them because they have to compete with illegal cheap laborers that are part of the cause of diminishing part-time work.

lukeNC 04.08.06 at 2:31 pm

I have to disagree that Mexicans are taking the jobs from blacks.

If you really want to work and really need some income, you’ll take whatever you can get rather than not do anything. If you have no skills or education it’s either take $6 an hour or zero dollars an hour.

There’s more than enough opportunity for everyone here in America. To say that they’re “stealing our jobs” is just race baiting. I’m surprised that some conservatives are resorting to race baiting.

I’m still laughing at this whole Senate drama because its easy to fix: Enforce the laws already on the books. Fine businesses who hire illegals. $10k or so should do it, for each one.

But, why solve this now? Each side can use it as a wedge issue and then not really do anything about it. Kinda like the gay marriage amendment thing.

No one is stepping up. Bush the liar doesnt really care, he’s a lame duck. So now who is the liberal and who is the conservative? They look the same to me these days.

So…its either join the minute men or get on with life.

I’ll get on with life.

lukeNC 04.08.06 at 2:47 pm

If I could state one other thing..

At the least, we need to be documenting who IS here and they need to be paying taxes.

Its outrageous we dont even know who is in this country.

No one gave them that right . . . . . yet.

Immigration reform hits stalemate and the democrats and republicans blame each other. Still playing politics. It’s Ironic that Senator Reid’s stance on immigration in the past seems to have been much more serious than the current political games going on.

A Wall — A Passel ‘o Illegal Alients — and a Need

How’s about using illegal aliens to help solve the problem (is this off topic?)

1) I agree with “Cobb” who posted “We don’t have to kick them out. We can just declare them felons with commuted sentences.” But with a twist.

2) Instead of Catch-and-Release, being in the border area and found to be not a U.S. citizen would mean six months hard labor — working on the U.S.-Mexico Border Wall. After sentence is served, transport to the southern tip of Mexico to be released by landing boat near Acapulco or Veracruz. Then hand the bill of detection, apprehension, care, feeding and return to the Mexican government — or at least have it deducted from any grants or balance of payments.

2) That would take care of the Wall aspect, but further inland, vigorously prosecute those who employ illegals for aiding and abetting the breaking of state and federal tax laws as well as federal immigration laws. The big draw for both Big Business and the Illegals is the money. Cut off the money, the transfer payments and they will have to go home.

Just a thought.

James 04.09.06 at 12:22 am

While I agree illegal aliens are not stealing jobs it is a fact they do drive wages down. It is simple economics 101 a higher labor supply matched to a smaller labor demand means cheaper labor costs. Who bears the cost? The “Blue Collar” workers. The one issue that bothers me is the fact that the unemployment rate is not accurate. The rate is figured on unemployment claims and those actively registered with a state employment agency, but it does not take into account quite a few groups of employees. It does not include teens, students, underemployed ( part time workers)or the biggest group discouraged workers (those whos benefits have run out and are still unemployed). Someone posted about Louisiana and the problems with getting people to help in the rebuilding effort. I am curious what is the pay scale compared to the cost of living? How many people can afford to uproot their family to take a low paying job that wouldn’t cover there living expenses?

I agree with La Shawn that poor blacks and whites are hurt most by illegal immigration. When I was a younger man you could live a decent life on the pay of a carpenter, garbage man or or other low skill job. Now you can’t unless you are willing to live 10, 15 or 40 people in a small house.

I am all for giving an immigrant a helping hand as long as they follow the laws to get here.
And on a final note it is not necessary to deport 11 million people, All this country needs to do is make it cost prohibitive for employers and also don’t give financial assistance to illegal aliens. No work no money they would go home really quick. This may sound harsh but we as a nation and a society need to look after our poor and huddled masses first before worry about others.

Tom B. 04.09.06 at 10:15 pm

La Shawn,

Little bit of advice: You might want to drop the “King George” business. Adopting the rhetoric of the left in disagreement with the president’s policies is never the constructive thing to do. Other than that, I pretty much agree with your post.

glamchild 04.09.06 at 10:23 pm

I see on Michelle’s site that some of the protesters are now citing Che Guevara, and I’m sure Caesar Chavez is in there somewhere. That’s distressing since neither of those thugs were men of peace. Unfortunately kids aren’t taught the truth in public schools. Both those men advocated, engaged in violence, and demanded immediate overthrow of the Government.

Whenever you start adding Che and Caesar Chavez to the mix…..I predict these protests will turn violent.

Exactly who is–’the Far Left” in your opinion? And why aren’t the same standards being applied across the board as far as “illegal immigration” is concerned? How can a Mexican or Guatamalan landing on our shores across the Rio Grande be considered a “felon” while a Cuban can do the same thing on the Florida coast and be considered a citizen? Your question has an answer, La Shawn:
“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, and are endowed by their Creator with the unalienable rights to Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.”

Neither the USA, nor Mexico, the EU, nor any country I know of fulfills this ideal of treating human beings equal: all states treat citizen humans different than non-citizen humans.

But it’s still discrimination.

Yes, the wall should be built. Yes, the very very poor illegal immigrants violated some US laws; like your commenters who have been driving ABOVE the speed limit. (Many of the illegals also drive illegally, and even drink and drive illegally — just like other Americans.)

If all laws against illegal immigration were abolished, making them legal, would the problems go away? Some would, but the illegality is not the main issue.

Money is. And culture — too many don’t speak English.

I suggest all legal immigrants PAY some $20 000 to come to America; and illegal immigrants pay twice that. See my Billion Dollar Solution to Immigration

Please continue complaining about the culture changes, but always remember that neither blacks, nor women, were treated as equal human beings when the great Declaration of Independence was written.

And I fully agree that law-breaking is an issue that must be dealt with; yet more strongly agree that it is the cultural issues which provide the greatest danger to the USA.

RedBeard 04.10.06 at 11:49 am

We don’t really teach history. Most of our teachers aren’t old enough to remember what actually happened. As a result, the two reprobates have been reconstructed as heroes, so what they we honor is an ideal attached to an historical name rather than the real people themselves. Does it bother me? Yes. Does it surprise me…no. Just try to convince people that George didn’t really cut down that cherry tree…!

Hey! I _like_ that…can I borrow it? Personally, I’m also in favor of unloading all illegals from our prisons and paying Mexico to imprison them. It’d be cheaper, and I suspect they’d like it less. You know, as soon as the Democrat party feels comfortable with Hispanics as a reliable voting bloc, they’ll forget blacks. Sorry folks, you’re too small a voting group, move over for the new group to pander and lie to.

And the way to deal with illegal immigration is to enforce the law. Period. If the laws in place were being enforced, if illegal aliens were deported, if businesses hiring illegals were fined, then the problem would be dealt with. It would take a few years and it would cost a lot of money, but less than it would to not do what we need to. It would cause prices to go up in some areas, but it would also cause there to be less a burden on hospitals, prisons, and welfare programs.

That’s the answer. It’s not easy and it would take a while to take effect, it would be tough at first and seem negative for a few years. And it won’t be done.

I live in Dallas, am a hard-core conservative, but I have a little different take on the situation.
First off, I want us to build a double fence from San Diego to the mouth of the Rio Grande and patrol it with soldiers, helicopters, and unmanned spy planes.

However, I have done church work with some who were illegal immigrants, I have seen the conditions of the poor in Ciudad Juarez, and I have to empathize with them. They have no hope over there. If I ask myself what I would do if I lived in such grinding poverty and couldn’t feed my family, I have to say that I would get to the US as quickly as I could.
I’m against blanket amnesty, but once the borders are closed I think that something can be done to assimilate the illegal immigrants into society and make English fluency compulsory in order to gain citizenship. Those who can’t do that should be shipped back down to Mexico where they apply for immigration legally.

How about “A day without an American!”

So let me get this right, we are going to have to suffer through “A Day without a Mexican” to more appreciate those citizens of Mexico that have broken into our country? Ok I think I get it, it is ok for someone to break into your home as long as they do the dishes. I got it!

Will the organizers also demand we have a day without social services, education, health benefits and a day without filling our jails? Will we have a day of ordering our food to someone that speaks English? I wonder if they will then demand a “Day Back to Mexico” to really teach us a lesson. It is completely ungrateful for a people to demand respect from a culture that has sheltered, employed and educated them. All we get from the world is jealously and envy. Stop whining and go build your own country and stop crossing the desert into ours.

Demand respect from Mexican President Fox and fight for a nation worth staying in. You are poor because of Mexico not the United States. You have hope and opportunity because of America, and you are a guest in our home, EVEN THOUGH YOU WERE NOT INVITED.

You wish to leave the oppressive government of Mexico and try to import their corrupt culture to America! Sorry we would rather have a “Day without a Mexican” than a “Country like Mexico.” If you are proud of Mexico do not demand Spanish in our classroom demand a bus ticket to Mexico. Do not celebrate Cinco de Mayo in Las Angeles, celebrate it in Mexico City.

Mexico was colonized by the Europeans just like America. The only difference is that they spoke Spanish and English was spoken in America. The Europeans still dominate the Mexican Culture, language and jobs. That is why the “Indians” that are running across the border, speak Spanish and not Aztec or Mayan languages. As I have said many times, there are no “Mexicans” crossing the Border illegally. Mexicans are crossing at the Border at the checkpoints to work or visit as tourist. People you see crossing the Borders illegally are the “Indians” of Mexico being discriminated against by the Europeans dominating the Mexican culture.

If it is dignity you want, earn it. Do not demonstrate in Dallas, march in Tijuana, do not ask for equal rights from Washington DC, return to Mexico and demand it from Mexico City. You are being forced out of you country by a government that has always hated you. You want to take the Southwest United States back for the Aztecs? Great, start with Mexico. The Spaniards took it from the Indians and now their Europeans descendants are forcing them to march across the Desert to pick crops in America. Where is your anger? Where is your courage? Do not march and protest here where it is free, protest where the real problems are and the real fight exist?

America became a great country in part of how we faced discrimination. Indians, Black folks and their European counterparts finally had to face with the problem. It took us a long time and it was very difficult and the process made us great. Black Americans tried escaping to other countries instead of fighting for dignity here. It did not work for us and it will not work for the oppressed Indians of Mexico. America is great because America has faced great challenges. You want a “Day without a Mexican?” Try having a Day without and America!” God Bless America!

Business owners have been complaining on talk radio for months now because they are offering $15+/hr on jobs that paid $8-9 pre-Katrina and STILL can’t find someone that will show up for more than 4 days straight. Fast food chains literally have signs with $1500-2500 sign on bonuses.

Honestly though, we only have govt. to blame for the entitlement attitude? Why break a sweat, work hard, and labor in the heat…. when you can walk to the mail box and get a “check” just because you are entitled to it?

Believe it or not, we actually have understaffed McDonalds that pay “unskilled” workers $12-15/hr. Who would’ve thought? And to think I used to believe I was so fortunate in my senior year to be making $3.35/hr!! Oh boy how the times have changed!
