Ok, after watching it I have to say I liked the idea behind it (as expected I disagree with most of what she had to say), but I’m curious what purpose the video format serves other than showing the flashes of diagrams. To me that particular “post” would have been just as effective if it had been written on her normal blog with a link to the diagrams. But I think the potential for video blogging is huge, if the blogger takes advantage of the “video” part of it to differentiate from their normal blog.

I saw 2 good differences between her vlog and blog. Her blog is 95% quotes and 5% her writing, but the vlog is mainly her commentary so you actually get an opinion instead of a regurgitation of other’s opinions. The 2nd difference is that she is allowing comments on the vlog, although out of 57 comments there are 0 that disagree with her. Given her recent developments I find that hard to believe so it looks like she is heavily censoring, but at least it’s a step in the right direction.

Few people have as much energy and stamina as Michelle Malkin. She is a brave woman with a voice worthy of being heard. Although, frankly, I would have preferred another name for this endeavor other than Hot Air; the connotation for this term is not the most becoming. Nonetheless, I wish her the best.
