Rob at Gut Rumbles…

in Bloggers

…has died.

Rob Smith, aka Acidman, was a plainspoken and prolific blogger out in the ’sphere since 2002 (with close to three million visitors). Rob was a recovering alcoholic who had some health problems recently.

Gut Rumbles was a blog I read through Bloglines, and Rob made me laugh most of the time. One thing was apparent from his posts: he loved to blog.

Thanks for the contribution, Rob.

Other blogging “old heads” (in blog time) remember Rob: Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler, Baldilocks, Hog on Ice, The Other Side of Kim, Smoke on the Water, John of Argghhh!

Too right, LaShawn. Regardless of his good days or bad, his writing was always the real thing.

I pray for his family, and I pray that he finds the peace which he never found on this earth.

My heartfelt condolences.

He was generous with his linkage, and nurtured a lot of bloggers. I hung in there because of him a time or two.

I’m not familiar with the gentleman but my condolences to his family and may he rest in peace.

Why Good Morning Ms. La Shawn ;-)

I posted my thoughts on Dean’s World. i liked Rob too. He would make me mad and then he would make me laugh and then I would walk away and wonder but like you, he often made me laugh!

I spoke of you in, Christian Fantasy! My goodness La Shawn! You remind me of how hard I worked to get my writing out there and did in many forms. Papers, television and a song I wrote.

Rob had faith, he really did. I wrote a lot about it at Dean’s.

I really like your spell check, wish Dean would get it. He is no longer atheist…and thank you for all your prayers for both of my Sons.
