Tuesday, August 22: At first I thought it was a fluke. Every group has its set of deranged fringe members. But I’ve concluded, in my almost-three years of blogging, that homosexual trolls and “straight” trolls who read certain blogs are the absolute nastiest I’ve ever encountered. Worse than the angriest and most militant black liberals, and more odious than any malodorous bigoted white liberal trying to slip through under the cover of Internet pseudo-boldness and anonymity.
Congratulations.
Stick around. I have several “offensive” posts to publish next week.
Monday, August 21: From a commenter:
Just read the ridiculous post at the Malcontent regarding this matter and thought I would share my comment with you:
“Yeah, well, I’m gay and I don’t get the leap you make between what she said and HATESPEECH HOMOPHOBIA PANIC BAD CONSERVO!! at all. So she said he looked like a homo-pedo…That’s the same thing I thought! I gandered at him and 1st thing I thought was “that dude looks like such a QUEEN!†Oooowwwww…must be my “internal homophobia†talking! Gimme a break; Any time someone says “homo†in a context you dislike it does not make them flaming homophobe monsters. I am vastly more concerned with the homophobia of Islam and the impotence of the Democrats in taking it seriously then I am in LaShawn noting the obvious…â€
Not all us gay guys are so freakin’ PC and idiotic LaShawn, I promise!!
Keep up yer good works
Eric
Sunday, August 20: Bangkok doctor says Karr was a patient at a sex-change clinic.
Saturday, August 19: Grasping at straws.
Later…Says columnist Bill Johnson: “John Mark Karr as much killed JonBenet Ramsey as Mickey Mouse did.”
Johnson wrote the column I would have written had I been quicker on the draw.
Friday, August 18 (evening): Ranting bloggers could learn a thing or two from fellow conservative Juliette at Baldilocks. She read this post and formed an opinion of my remarks in context and accurately represented what I wrote. For those who may be confused about what’s going on, here’s what I wrote in this post on Wednesday that offended homosexual bloggers:
I’m watching an AP video of this freak, and he seems more like a homosexual pedophile to me.
That’s it. That one sentence out of this long post is raising people’s blood pressure.
Juliette’s response:
So now, some homosexuals are saying that La Shawn made a slur against homosexuals, that she asserted that all homosexuals are pedophiles. Did she say that? Let’s check it out. If La Shawn thought that all homosexuals were pedophiles, then why would she have bothered to use the word ‘pedophile?’ After all, a person who thought that all homosexuals leaned that way would have assumed that ‘pedophile’ automatically fell under the larger umbrella of ‘homosexual,’ which would have made the phrase ‘homosexual pedophile’ redundant. (And a careful writer like La Shawn would not have made that mistake.) Are some people looking to find offense in La Shawn’s words? Yes, but finding offense when none is offered isn’t a trait exclusive to homosexuals.
Juliette is saying explicitly what is implicit in this post. I felt no need to explain or defend myself because no reasonable person would conclude that I said all homosexuals were pedophiles. As I’m typing this, I’m laughing at the utter silliness of it all. But this nonsense comes with being plainspoken, outspoken, politically incorrect, and unafraid to express my opinion.
No one — and I don’t care who you are — will ever intimidate me into policing my speech or toning down my views. If that makes you angry, I advise you to stop reading this blog and never darken my URL again. You’ll live longer.
Friday, August 18 (morning): Here we go again! Whenever I write the word “homosexual” on this blog, whatever the context, certain homosexual bloggers get their knickers in a wad. Well, free speech means I can write what I want on this blog (ever mindful of libel, of course), and homosexuals can disagree with what I write on this blog. One pleasant consequence: homosexual bloggers link, traffic increases, and link count rises. Thanks for the Friday treat, boys.
Certain homosexual bloggers are offended that I said John Karr, the man who says he killed JonBenet Ramsey, seemed more like a homosexual pedophile than a hetero. And that offended homosexuals. Good grief.
The fact that Karr’s actually a heterosexual pedophile doesn’t offend my heterosexual sensibilities at all. But since some people wear their sexual proclivities on their sleeves and believe everyone else must prostrate themselves before some arbitrary and ever-changing speech code, it’s to be expected. But in the spirit of “civil rights” for all — as opposed to special rights for some — I’ll accept comments and trackbacks from anyone, no matter who or what they sleep with, as long as the comments and posts are free of personal insults. If you post a comment but don’t see it, you’ll know why.
As an aside, I really don’t care who you sleep with. I find the whole subject boring as h*ll.
Later…For those too eager to get on the board before finding out whose board this is, read the About page, and make a note of my sex.

*** Scroll down for updates *** (Suspect’s ex-wife says he was in Alabama with her at time of murder.)
Did Karr confess to avoid prison in Thailand? Theories.
Right Wing News: Killer or Kook?
Peak Talk: Case Closed?
————————————————————
A person suspected of killing JonBenet Ramsey (“possible suspect”) was arrested in Bangkok, Thailand.
Six-year-old JonBenet was murdered in 1996. Some people, including me, suspected that her mother, the late Patsy Ramsey, was involved with the killing. I’ll hold off making a statement until I get more info.
Update (5:37 p.m.): FOX News and other sources say that John Karr is a 41-year-old former second-grade teacher who’s been living overseas for the past few years. He’s being held in Bangkok on sex-related charges. Sources say Karr confessed to details of the crime unknown to the public. FOX said he’d been writing e-mails with details about the case to Patsy Ramsey. Statement from John Ramsey.
Blogosphere coverage: Hot Air, Outside the Beltway, Mary Katharine Ham…
Update II (8/17 @ 9:00 a.m.): This freak says he did it. Killing her was an “accident.” This is all very strange. I followed the case years ago and came to conclusions based on the evidence.
In recent years, there were reports that foreign male DNA had been found on JonBenet’s underwear. (CBS) According to the story, it was blood, but a reader who followed the case e-mailed to say it was saliva found on the underwear, not blood, and the DNA was degraded to the point it could have been left there months before the murder.
He says a lot more, but I need to verify it.
I’m blogging about the arrest on this very public blog because it’s big news, and I’ve blogged about my suspicions toward Pasty Ramsey at least twice. I don’t feel “bad” about what I’ve written or ashamed that I suspected Patsy. I hate that the whole thing happened.
Karr confessed, and if his DNA matches whatever DNA was found at the crime scene, then that’s it. I’m not the Ramsey family’s judge and jury. I’m in the court of public opinion, and based on what I knew about the case, guilt pointed toward the mother. If it turns out the Bangkok freak actually murdered the child, that means my speculations were wrong. But I don’t regret making those speculations.
The Boulder DA will hold a press conference today at Noon. I’ll live-blog it.
Later…I’m watching an AP video of this freak, and he seems more like a homosexual pedophile to me. According to this story, Karr was married with children.
According to this story, the suspect’s ex-wife says he was with her in Alabama at the time of JonBenet’s murder. You know, it’s pretty easy to determine where someone was on significant dates like Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. Investigators will determine his whereabouts at the time of the murder, regardless of what he says, fairly quickly.
Good grief. Freaky is as freaky does…More weirdness: Karr’s father thought he was dead. As I recall what I learned about the case — the complicated layout of the Ramsey’s house in Boulder (had Karr been there before?), scant evidence of a break-in the night of the murder, the strange three-page ransom note — my skepticism that Karr (who suddenly copped to the crime after 10 years) is the murderer remains. DNA is the key. We’ll just have to wait and see.
11:30 a.m.: Watching FOX News. Karr says he drugged and had intercourse with the child, although tox reports didn’t reveal drugs in her system. An examiner said there was evidence of some sort of abuse but didn’t indicate rape.
Cyril Wecht, high-profile forensic pathologist who’s followed the case, says there was no evidence of penile penetration. For this and many other reasons, based on his experience with such cases, he believes this may be a false confession. According to other experts, the murderer was familiar with the house, but John Ramsey says he doesn’t know Karr.
Press Conference Blogging (12:07 p.m.)
Boulder DA Mary Lacy makes the standard announcement. Karr’s background, where he was when arrested, etc. Says investigators spent the past few months investigating him. Much work to be done. Reminds folks that Karr is presumed innocent. Durham County DA Mike Nifong could learn a few things from this lady.
Won’t comment on particular nature of the investigation or the arrest. She’s thanking all the people involved in the case and taking “limited” questions from reporters. No charges have been filed, and Lacy won’t be able to say much more than that.
Basically, the conference was scheduled to make the arrest announcement.
