Totally Unrelated Update II: Writer Cinnamon Stillwell mentioned me and other black conservatives in her review of Juan Williams’s book, Enough. Here’s my review.
This is the second time (that I’m aware of) a writer has mentioned my name in the same sentence as Thomas Sowell’s. Add to that Shelby Steele, John McWhorter, and Star Parker, and I’m in very excellent company!

So many blacks and their white liberal gurus failed to appreciate those Anglo-originated laws based on “self-evident truths” and the consent of the governed, which were flexible enough to take under their protection the nation’s former slaves. Who will there be to insure that jobs and scholarships and government contracts, and the surfeit of other entitlements, will be available for a people who have grown used to looking to others for slices from the economic pie, instead of baking their own share of it?
Once what’s left of constitutional law is gone, partly out of neglect, because the story of the Constitution and its creators will no longer be taught in the various Chinese-Indian-Latino-Arab colored school systems, a new corner will be turned. If blacks think they’ve been mistreated at the hands of whites, just wait until the affirmative action, set aside party is over—when there is no one to insist that they get undeserved perks, or have a “right” to intrude themselves into places where they are not wanted.

I’ve expressed similar sentiments on this blog. I realized long ago that black Americans have much more in common with white Americans than with any black foreigner or other racial minority. Illegal aliens flooding this country and the hispanic lobby are racially conscious, and they couldn’t care less about whites or blacks. That’s not race-baiting; it’s reality-checking.
It’s already laughable that certain blacks believe whites owe them something; it’s downright hysterical for them to expect “Hispanics” any other non-white living in this country — if and when they gain significant political power — to try to placate them the way white Americans have. Blacks still riding the whites-are-racists wagon will have to find a new enemy to blame, but this one won’t damn about their history of slavery, segregation, or their present-day whining about it.
Reconstruction is over.
Totally Unbelievable Update III: I rarely google myself, esp. in Google News, but finding that San Fran Chronicle story prompted me to do a search. Remember that brief remark I made about John Mark Karr looking more like a homosexual pedophile than a hetero one? It made the Washington Blade, a homosexual weekly in D.C. Can you believe it???
