Way back when, after leaving the military — during which I had *trained* with the NY HRT (Hostage Rescue Team) and did many of the things that agents do in training, I’d applied to the FBI, the Secret Service and a raft of other law enforcement and counterintel agencies.

Ultimately I was accepted by the Foreign Services’ DSS (but opted for law school instead), but not before being turned down by all the rest. In almost every case, the SAIC (special agent in charge — of the interview at least) would put his hand on my shoulder and sadly saw, ‘sorry son, if you were a minority or a female we could hire you in a heartbeat.’

It wasn’t just civilian government that was doing this http://www.adversity.net/fedagency_news.htm, it was being ram-rodded through the military (see e.g. Kara Hultgren).

Although in the world of politics, both have proved to capture the lower-mindset.

Tantor, it would appear that America has entered a new, defining era in race-politics/race-baiting?

1: Complaining that NON-WHITES are unfairly discriminated against is automatically labelled a ‘liberal’ position, and

2: Complaining that ‘WHITES’ are unfairly discriminated against is automatically labelled a ‘conservative’ position.

Considering the subtle degrees and variations of skin-colour, don’t any of us find it odd that we are scanning a carefully selected webpage for evidence of more than (??%) caucasian skin?

For what? To prove that the evil ‘liberals’ are ruining the world with ‘political correctness’?

Why not grab one of those non-white employees of the FBI, drag them into the media spotlight, and then accuse them pubicly of being a politically correct pawn of the left, without real world ‘white’ merit?

Because that is exactly what is being done here.

Shade, for instance, matter-of factly linked to a load of ‘white’ people’s pics on the FBI website.

And here’s the rub; No-one can ‘see’ those white people, because we are all so fixated on the ‘evil liberal minority-skinned pawns’ on the linked page.

No, no race-baiting here, move along. Nothing to see. The right and the loony-right never race-bait. Nope, never. Anyone want to buy the Panama Canal? I have a deal on this month?

You mean like over at Cosby’s house or Oprah’s house or professional sports or Colin Powell’s place or Condoleeza’s home or Vernon Jordan’s or at BET?

Do you liberals never tire of race-baiting?

maybe that’s the point. why use minorities as window dressing… but when it comes down to the nitty gritty, use white men? ‘smart, quick at decision making, and very fit’….. so where is everyone else, or are they not ‘smart, quick at decision making and very fit’? but they are good enough for window dressing and smiles.

Evidently everything in the corporate world is being funneled through a PC filter. It’s on TV, too. You can be sure that the white guy is going to be the dope when ever the cast is mixed. If it’s a family show, the wife is always some kind of genius while the father is a dunce who can barely tie his shoes on his own. That’s part of the reason I don’t watch those shows anymore. I wasn’t being entertained. I was being indoctrinated.

I’ll be honest. I’d like to see some shows that are all white. I’d like to see some shows that are all black. I’d like to see some that are black and white mixed together. I’d like to see some that are neither black nor white but something else entirely.

What I don’t want to see is the same cookie-cutter politically correct formula imposed on every friggin’ piece of media force-fed to me to endlessly affirm a particular point of view like I’m watching TV in North Korea.

The country was CREATED by white Europeans – along with a black minority. Our culture is Euro-American – and all of us who are products of that culture should want it to remain so. Now, we have decided as a society that the white majority has to be diminished and destroyed to make way for the new order.

Once you realize this, it becomes painful to see these images on a daily basis….

My comment was really more directed to some other comments, and I did read the post, and did follow the links.

As I pondered the matter, for a while I *was* going to say that I didn’t think it mattered, who was on the front page, but then started thinking of other things, like college brochures or church leaflets, and I realized that I’d find it weird if a regular state college, for example, had four photos on the front with none of them white (if the student body had a majority of white people), even though whites were featured inside, or a church showed only “minorities” on its leaflet front, if the church was mostly white or just really mixed, even if whites were in photos on the inside. What is on the front does matter, especially when you are emphasizing one thing and trying to de-emphasize another. Your point made more sense to me as I put the same idea into different contexts.

This sounds as if you would not consider a disabled white man as “someone like you”.
