I kept it a secret for a long time, but since then I've discovered family members who do the same thing, and they kept it secret also(for those of you who don't share the darker skin coloring, it's almost seen as betraying the race, in some black circles). I told a family member I wished I could find more people like us and she suggested your blog, and I have to say it's good to see someone much like myself, standing up for what she believes in, despite the fact that it's an unpopular thing to do. I believe when we do something to share our faith, even in the face of unpopularity, we are following the Lords direction. So I just want to say to you LaShawn Barber, thank you for being obedient to the Holy Spirit's leading in your life, you don't know how many Urbanites you are influencing to break free from the chains of liberalism which has kept our culture in bondage for so long, and think for themselves! Congratulations on your Blogiversary, and hopefully I'll be saying the same thing to you even decades from now.
