I’ve read a bunch on the Duke case. I have numerous interests in that case as I am from the same home town as Colin and moved upon graduation from high school to Salisbury NC about 90 minutes south of Duke. Some of the questions I have are as follows

1) I’ve heard a great deal about the accuser and a history with the law. Does anybody think that she will be charged with anything? (false report or worse)

2) Does anybody think that the police, especially this gent Gottleib, will be charged with anything since they appear to be strong-arming the defense folks…the cab driver or not taking complete notes of the crime etc.

3) Today February 19, 2007 is the first I am hearing about the cabbie going to court over some old warrent and charges. can anybody point me in the right direction to find out more about the trial and its outcome. I’m told the police lied in the trial and contradicted surveilance tape.

4) Lastly, If Nifong gets off on the ethics charges with the NC Bar, does that make it impossible to sue him??

Seahawk, “because of all that went all before”. I know you meant this sarcastically, but did you know that it’s quite possible that there has NEVER been a gangrape of a black woman by white men in HISTORY? I’ve tried to find one, but I can’t. Here’s what I did find: The FBI statistics show that every year 20,000 white women are raped by blacks — thousands by gangs (”multiple offender”). The incidence of white-on-black rape is always an asterisk in the FBI statistics, meaning the sample size is too small for meaningful extrapolation. From other sources I find the ESTIMATED number of annual white-on-black rapes to range from a high of 900 to a low of 100. If we take the median of this range, 500, that means that about 40 white women are raped by black men for every ONE black woman raped by a white. Want to have more “fun”? Take 20,000 and divide it by 365 — that’s 55 white women EACH DAY being raped by blacks, or more than 2 per HOUR. Yes, that means while you are reading this, a white woman is NOW being raped by a black man.

Btw, in case you think this is a “reversal” of history — in case you believe the blood-libel that claims that white men have a “long history of raping black women”, think again. Even during SLAVERY time, the evidence is that there were far more black rapes of white women than vice-versa. Hard to believe in light of the lies we’ve been told all our lives, but true.

Durham â€” Durham police have arrested a suspect in connection with a sexual assault reported earlier this month at a party near Duke University.

Michael Jermaine Burch, 21, of 322 Junction Road, was charged Monday with second-degree rape in connection with the Feb. 11 assault.

At this time he is only a SUSPECT and we should regard the state’s accusations with extreme skeptisicm until its case against him is PROVEN BEYOND ANY RESONABLE DOUBT. If called to serve on his jury, our attitude should be, “Prove it!”

Of course, those other three guys deserved none of the above, and still deserve to be guilty even if they aren’t, because of all that has gone on before…

Why would we want to boycott stores that have lots of black folks working, and for heaven’s sake, why do we “need” to be separated? To me, the thing we ought to all be working towards is a better understanding of one another because we have a lot more in common than we have differences.

I’ve been wondering about this particular case… Is it possible that the people who jumped to conclusions in the Duke case are now conceding that maybe the critics were right? Maybe cases like this should NOT be tried in the Court of Public Opinion?

I’d wait until another biracial event occurs, THEN see if they’ve learned their lesson about this.

These frustrations easily turn to hate, and it’s only going to get worse. If you don’t like reverse racism, don’t vote democrat. Democrats cater to the blacks. Boycott events (sports), stores, etc. that have mostly blacks working. Remember money talks. We need to be separated.

CGM should get jail time, and this latest case is the reason why, well that and the fact that she lied.

The CGM’s of this world make life difficult for genuine victims, and the last thing a genuine rape victim needs is for people to assume she’s faking it because they can point to a known example of a liar. I do not know why it isn’t routine to arrest false accusers of rape, but it should be. Why isn’t this on the table? Why is she still on the loose? I was under the impression that when you frame someone for a crime, you get the same punishment the other person would have recieved if you had not been caught. False accusations should get similar treatment.

I’m really concerned, what if this person was really raped? Now because Nfong was a dummy and that heffa probably lied a true victim may not receive justice.

I’ll add, as well, that if any of the team members go down and talk to the police openly about that party, without lawyers, then they are fools–even if they have nothing to hide and want to cooperate to help ascertain the truth about that night and who a possible culprit might be.

Because unless they have a spare $3 million laying around, they could be spending the next 30 years inside a prison, for something they knew nothing about and didn’t do. Even if DNA evidence shows they had no contact whatever with the ‘victim’, and someone else did.

Even if they have pictures showing themselves elsewhere at the time. Even if they have witnesses and documents and phone records. . .

Some of the members of the fraternity which had the party where the second ‘rape’ was alleged are athletes at Duke. They were NOT the ‘rapist’ and had nothing to do with the ‘rape’. It is possible that NONE of them were present at that party.

But if so, does Duke have a policy with regard to what happens to teams and team members who are at a party when there is an allegation of rape?

Or what happens when there is underage drinking? Or what happens when there is drug use at such a party (not necessarily by any of the student athletes)?
