You may have lost your voice but others are speaking for you. Congratulations for being mentioned as one of four blog consultants on page 239 of Lisa Sabin-Wilson's "WordPress for Dummies".

It's a great book and I was happy to see you listed. I may be looking your way to help with the MartyBLOGs "big picture" at some point.

The gossip that I'm hearing, is that even if she does win, she's got a money problem.

After Iowa, all of her Hollywood funding dried up, and whether or not she rebounds, Hollywood won't be back.

You know on paper, Hollywood pretends to be liberal Democrats, but the old boys club---the Jack Nicholsons and the Warren Beattys......they're really good-old-boys at heart. They're not really keen on a woman running things. They might talk a good game, and pretend to be "feminist".....but you don't see a woman in charge of a major studio. Hollywood is still very much a man's game, no matter how much they all claim to be "feminists".

And, Bill was their guy, he was the real Man's Man who caroused and fooled around etc....

Hillary might be a Democrat, but she's not really one of them; and, in my opinion---they were just waiting for a reason to withdraw support. She ain't Bill; she ain't one of the good-time boys.

And, right now, winner or not, she's scrambling for money. I'm sure she thought she could piggy-back off of Bill's Hollywood friends. Apparently, that's not how it is. Winning means nothing if you don't have the money to keep going.

I'm holding my breath on South Carolina. And now hoping that you regain your voice because it is one that stands out in the chorus. It's got to be tough to blog every day. Here's an earnest hope you do whatever is necessary to keep up the good work you do here at LBC.

I don't understand this woman.

She's known for months that there were going to be Caucuses on the Las Vegas Strip. And she was fine with it. She only had a problem with it once she lost the Iowa Caucuses, and lost the endorsement of the Culinary Union.

And so, there can only be Caucuses on the Strip, if she's guaranteed a win.

Shades of 2000's -----let's count the votes, but only till the person I like wins, and if I don't like who's winning, we stop counting !

Lost your voice? Some politicians have recently claimed to have "found" theirs. Perhaps they swiped yours instead... :)

My wife has started another semester studying for a BA in Mathematics (GPA 3.5/4.0).

Our son just turned two and tonight managed to toss a toy car onto the dinner table - with surprising velocity. He will be car-less for the rest of the evening.

I am still teaching middle school and high school mathematics and science at a private school.

I'm going to a birthday party Sunday for a 100 year old relative of my husband. My 9-yr-old daughter is going to play "Happy Birthday" on her violin at the party. Either this is the opening of a very good year or it's all downhill after that for 2008.

Can a blogger really have voiceless days? Hope you get back to speaking soon.

Back to the grind around here. The kids went back to school last week, busy at work, etc.

My daughter has a last minute dance performance coming up so they're in rehearsal. She also has a few private lessons to prepare for a scholarship competition. That means about 18 hours of ballet a week through Feb 9th. Yes, her feet hurt. We're keeping our fingers crossed that the performance doesn't conflict with a choir performance.

My son's Winter Percussion is picking up the pace too, they're in rehearsal 6 hours a week. He received Rock Band for his birthday last week, everyone is having a great time playing it.

Our eldest is still looking for a job. His compassionate (Not!) employer fired him 3 weeks before Christmas. He has some good prospects that he's waiting to hear back from.

Besides that, I'm trying to do a bunch of "spring cleaning". After all, who feels like indoor chores in the spring when it's so nice outside?

Good luck finding your voice La Shawn!

I'm auditioning for a local "American Idol" knock-off at my college. If I make the finals I get to perform in front of over 1,000 people, which makes me super-excited.

My audition to make it past the first round was last night. I think I literally lost my voice for a few notes during the song (I did Marvin Gaye's "Ain't No Mountain High Enough"). Why they are holding a singing competition in the dead of winter, I have no idea...

Hope you're well!

Now that sounds interesting, Jay. - Admin

Hey, La Shawn!

My mom and I are starting on Loop 3 of our trip around the country in her RV. We'll be seeing a bit of the South, then meeting at a friend's daughter's house in Sarasota, and 7 of us will go on a Caribbean cruise together. After the cruise, my mom and I will come back home, and our trip will be over. Then it will be back to normal life again.

All the best on your Voice Quest...
